Reese Helps Idol Give Back

Reese Witherspoon took a break from hanging out with her own adorable kids to spend some time at a school in New Orleans as part of Idol Gives Back. She read stories, chatted, and posed for photos with the happy kids as part of the special charity episode of American Idol. The episode airs April 9 and will feature other celebs like Bono and Brad Pitt. Last year the event raked in $60 million, and we can't wait to see if Reese and everyone else can do an even better job this year.

I'm from New Orleans I do my part more than any celeb. I have gone to schools, tons of them. I helped rebuild right after the hurricane and I still help on the weekends. If I had millions I would give it to my city. I'm not hating on Reese. I think she is a wonderful person. I just feel like the media praises her for doing something that is nice, but I feel like if she really wanted to help out, she would have done more. It was probably set up by her manager and she didn't give two craps about it. I'm really not trying to be mean when I say this, but you have no idea unless you are from New Orleans.

This is what all people should be doing, not just celebs. It's nice to see when celebs are doing this, as it reminds us that they aren't all selfish and petty. If she was hading out pictures, I hope to get some....she is beautiful, and gets better with age.

guys come on. i cant believe how you guys can turn this act into something bad. no matter what, someonneee always has a problem with some celeb no matter what they do. jesus christ what does reese witherspoon have to do? find a cure for cancer? even then you guys would be like oh my gawdd she is so annoyingg. hmph attention whore. come on guys lighten up. reese is a cute one. shes not a slut or goes around dating guy after guy or partying hard in bars. and chanel-aholic. i cant even believe you. she does a simple act of kindness and you're like, well, she could have gone to a worse off school but noo she goes to a fairly good school geez she should like go to hell or something for that horrible horrible sin she has just done. lighten up when was the last time you read for a bad run down new orleans school huh? and if you did, did you make sure to go to the crappiest one around? because if you didnt go to the worst one and just went to one that was just half as bad, thats terrible and you should be ashamed of not going to the worst one.

Well electric, we absolutely have to disagree on that one. There were points in that movie when I actually forgot I was watching actors, it was that good. Really, watch it. I know you don't like her, but if you have any affinity at all for "The Man in Black" this movie is a must see.

No, I guess the movie was AMAZING because of Joaquin's interpretation. I personally don't like her acting but I've to say that she was a decent singer in it and that's what she did in the movie: sing. Although, her acting skills has never impressed me.
