Reese Witherspoon was back at work on the set of The Good Lie in Atlanta yesterday after taking a short break from filming following her arrest on April 19. After Reese and Jim Toth's arrest, she spent the past week splitting her time between NYC and LA as she promoted Mud, her new film with Matthew McConaughey, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this month. Before her arrest, she sat down for an interview with Red magazine, where Reese talked about feminism and a few of her famous friends. She said she wants women to support successful women and let them "show off" their accomplishments, and also talked about her relationship with Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz, the latter of which, according to Reese, hides a "secret alter ego" of being a savvy business woman.

Reese Witherspoon got incredibly candid for a new interview in the June issue of Red magazine, which hits newsstands in the UK on May 1. She touched on feminism, the gender pay gap, and her drive to become a businesswoman and avoid hiding her successes. Reese also discussed her life with baby Tennessee and her friendships with Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz, whom she says hides a secret alter ego. • On women putting themselves down: "As women, we shrug and smile and say, 'Oh...me?' because it makes it socially acceptable for us to be successful. But there is a balance between being an arrogant jerk and being someone who is proud of their accomplishments. We need to let successful women show off and support them. Because men don't spend any time putting themselves down. They don't waste their breath. You have to be the best version of yourself and, if that means you have to be a bit self-promoting, then it's okay. It really is. Because who's going to believe in you more than yourself? Other than, maybe, your mother."
• On losing her mind after giving birth: "Ever since I had the baby, I can't remember anything. Serious, this child stole my brain. I'm losing friendships over forgetting to get back to people. But you can't keep up with everything. I've got a 13-year-old, a nine-year-old and a baby."
• On her friends Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz: "They're just as charismatic and fun as you would imagine. It's nice to hang with Drew because we both just had babies and we can support each other. And Cameron is such a funny, bright gal. She's an incredibly sharp business-minded woman, but she disguises that side of herself. It's her secret alter ego."

Reese Witherspoon had a huge grin on her face as she hopped out of her car in LA yesterday. She's back on the West Coast after popping up in NYC on Sunday for the premiere of Mud alongside costar Matthew McConaughey. Reese skipped the press line after the event, since it was on the heels of her weekend legal trouble. Reese and her husband Jim Toth were both arrested in Atlanta early last Friday morning, though they were released from jail shortly after. Jim was booked for a DUI while Reese ended up in handcuffs for disorderly conduct. Reese has since spoken out saying she's "deeply embarrassed" and is "very sorry for [her] behavior."

Reese is reportedly "happy to be home" now, though she'll have to return to Georgia to appear in court next month. Jim, meanwhile, has already gotten back to business and was seen heading into his LA office yesterday.

Reese Witherspoon, who donned Saint Laurent, posed with Matthew McConaughey at the NYC premiere of their film, Mud, last night. They were also joined by costar Sarah Paulson, as well as director Jeff Nichols, for the movie's Big Apple debut. Reese and Matthew were both accompanied by their significant others for the evening out. Matthew posed with his wife, Camila Alves, while Reese had husband Jim Toth nearby.

Reese seemed to be in good spirits despite her run-in with the law over the weekend. Reese and Jim were both arrested on Friday night in Atlanta, where she is currently shooting The Good Lie. Jim was charged with a DUI, and Reese was cited with a disorderly conduct charge after disobeying the police during Jim's arrest. Reese and Jim's mug shots were released yesterday. Today, Reese issued a statement on her arrest, apologizing for her behavior towards the police officer. She said, "I do want to say, I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said. The words I used that night definitely do not reflect who I am. I have nothing but respect for the police and I'm very sorry for my behavior."
