Reese's New Role as an Avon Lady

Reese Witherspoon looked fabulously dressed in all white at a press conference in Beverly Hills where she was named the very first Avon Global Ambassador. In addition to representing Avon's beauty products, Reese will also be working on charity projects for women in need. Reese was particularly attracted to the philanthropy aspect of the job. We always love to hear about our favorite celebs giving back to the community, and we bet that all the free Avon products aren't a bad perk of the job either.

It's good to see her with Andrea Jung. I used to work at Global Headquarters of Avon and I knew Ms. Jung. She's taken the company to such great heights and I'm glad to see celebrities helping to get the word out about what a great company it is. Their philanthropic efforts are amazing. :)

Never saw anything fabulous about Reese...and I don't think it's that hard to play the roles she plays either...even Ryan Phillipe said that her Oscar-winning role in "Walk the Line" was not a far stretch from her true personality...I mean, she's a sweet-talking southern girl - and she plays those roles over and over again...as for Legally Blonde, a little too over-the-top with the valley girl stuff...anybody can play that part...Sorry Reese - no cheers for you here...:(....I feel bad for Ryan - I think he got the shxt end of the stick if you know what I mean...and when men cheat, there is usually something not quite right at home...she was probably a witch at home who thought she was too big for her britches when she made more money than her husband and won her Oscar...no wonder Ryan looked the other way...by the way, Team Ryan! :)

Actually, concerning Avon makeup, their Anew skin care line is rated one of the top of the line and was revolutionary when it first came out. I did a paper when I was getting my MBA and had to compare two like product companies that were different. I did Estee Lauder and Avon.

For those who think this, you've been looking at too many pictures of Nicole! Reese is anything but chubby and she's certainly not dumpy or lumpy. If her dress was any higher we would see things we would not want to see when she sat down! There are plenty of celebrities who have poor taste in clothes and who are running around in skimpy,skanky outfits - leave the classy ones alone!

You go Reese. I am loving it when I hear anything positive coming out of Hollywood. Anyone doing anything that is a good tip, is wonderful. Especially compared to what we are seeing now a days.Good girl Reese! We still love ya!

Actually, Avon does a lot for charities. They have the Breast Cancer Crusade and Avon Walk for Breast Cancer (which I did once), Speaking out Against Domestic Violence, Emergency and Disaster relief...so if that's a company for a celeb to be a spokesmodel for rather than say Cover Girl, Bebe or LV then good for her. (Not that there is anything wrong with those that do it for Cover Girl, Bebe, etc. but Avon does do charity work)

I don't get how her signing a multi million doller deal to rep cheap cosmetics makes her a humanitarian but that's just me. Maybe she figures she can make some money and and still place visability on some causes she feels strongly about so thats good I guess. Don't get me wrong I love Reese but I have a low tolerance for celebrity endorsement deals diguised as charity work.

So if she went ahead and had plastic surgery on her chin, would you all rip her apart then? Sheesh...so catty. So what, her chin is big, so is Drew Barrymore's. Kudos for them for embracing their looks and not changing. So what if you have a child and they don't come out picture perfect? Will you let them know that you're shallow and disappointed in their looks or just hide them from the public? :oy:

So she has a pointy chin? Who cares? She could be fake like every other woman in Hollywood and get her chin fixed but she chooses to accept herself for who she is and THAT is the reason she is perfect for Avon.

I'm glad that Avon chose her as a spokesperson. She seems like someone ordinary women can relate to. I know Salma Hayek was used to be a spokesperson too. Avon makes good choices!!
