Rihanna and Chris Brown are both returning to their music now that Chris's arraignment was postponed until April. Today there are stories supposedly revealing the identity of the woman who texted Chris that night.

Otherwise, the latest report is that the couple is working on a duet together for Chris's new album, and apparently they've already gotten to work in the studio together. Before the alleged assault occurred, we loved seeing the two singers together on stage, but tell us, after everything that's happened, would you be interested in a Rihanna and Chris duet?

This isn't the case for Rhianna, who clearly has money of her own, but many victims of DV cannot leave because they have children and no means of supporting themselves and their children. Often victims do not have jobs or education. It's easy to say "oh, she should just leave him" but where will she go? What will she do for money? If she gets a job, who will watch her children? It's not that easy. I was APPALLED that someone - I *think* TI - said that this was between Chris and Rhianna ... and the business of no one else. This is EXACTLY the same thought that allowed abusers to continue assualting their wives and children (yes I know men are victims too, but it is more often the woman that is teh vic). If it happened in someone's house, it wasn't for the police or the State. Assault is assault, whether it happens between strangers or spouses. It is NEVER okay to abuse - be that man, woman, child, or animal. I do hope that this crime - which it is: a CRIME, not an "unfortunante incident" or "mistake" - helps bring awareness to DV.

For those of you unfamiliar with domestic abuse; often the victim feels too scared and helpless to leave the abuser. The mental abuse is often just as damaging as the physical abuse. One thing I've found all abuse victims have in common is that even when they do manage to get out of the abusive relationship they are still terrified of the abuser and fear for their lives. Due to this (and other factors) its common for a victim to feel they will never escape, so they try to believe the lies their abuser tells them of love, promises of it never happening again and they stay in the abusive relationship. I have a sinking feeling that Rhianna is being pushed by her "people" (industry, not family) to make nice as they are too afraid of losing their cash cow, and are also trying to turn this hideous event and its subsequent press into yet more money for themselves. (It would be nice to be proved wrong.) I pray she can get some support from people who truly love and care about her and has the strength to break this cycle before its allowed to continue or escalates into even worse. Domestic abuse is too widespread worldwide (men are also victims, but unfortunately the odds for women are much higher), and this is a chance for Rhianna to get out and also to bring awareness to others and show that it can be done. Too many women have died at the hands of their abusers or have taken their own lives in order to make it stop.

Here's the thing too I'm also boycotting the Nickelodeon kids choice awards. I don't think it's okay for some monster to be nominated for Best Male or Song. What kind of message does that send to kids. Not cool.

God No!!! Even if Rhianna can't see it, I will not be financially supporting this unhealthy relationship by tuning in. I can't even stand to listen to any Chris Brown love songs anymore.

tiabia, ah I get what you are getting at. But I have strong opinions on that just because it strikes a personal corde with me as I know abuse victims and I know their abusers....they don't change. So.. no I don't think women beaters should get a second chance. Just like I don't think child molesters, rapists and killers should get a second chance.
