Amy Poehler went to work on the set of Parks and Recreation yesterday in LA. She was joined by her costars Adam Scott and Rob Lowe for a scene taking place at what will be the Founder's Week Carnival in an upcoming episode. Taylor Swift's issue of Vanity Fair recently threw Amy into the headlines when the singer called her and her Golden Globes cohost, Tina Fey, out for their jab at her love life. Amy responded to Taylor's remark that there's "a special place in hell for women who don't help other women" by saying, "I feel bad if she was upset. I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl. That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff." Tina also responded to the comment at the NYC premiere of Admission earlier this week, saying she "did not see that one coming." Tina added, "It was a joke. It was a lighthearted joke."

Jeremy, Tim, and Jess got goofy in a photo booth backstage afterward.

Presenters included Rob Lowe, Jeremy Renner, Olivia Munn, and an Oscar de la Renta-clad Zooey Deschanel. Magic Mike's Cody Horn, in Cushnie et Ochs, shared the microphone with Nascar driver Jimmie Johnson while her costars Matthew McConaughey and Channing Tatum continued promoting the movie overseas. Stars from the sports world, including Peyton Manning, LeBron James, Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn, Shaun White, and Maria Sharapova mingled with singer Kenny Chesney, who was on a break from his tour with Tim McGraw. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were the center of attention at The Tree of Life premiere tonight during the Cannes Film Festival, and there were plenty of other stars on hand to join them on the red carpet. Jude Law, who is one of the jurors at this year's film festival, joined Brad's costar Jessica Chastain, in addition to Rob Lowe, Zoe Saldana, Gwen Stefani, and Gavin Rossdale. Gwen and Gavin joined in on the fun in France following a week in his native Britain, and they wasted no time throwing on bikinis and going shirtless to enjoy the Mediterranean over the weekend. Sean Penn shares the screen with Brad and Jessica, and he joined them for today's event as well. Sean's girlfriend, Scarlett Johansson, didn't walk the press line, however. Brad's big evening caps off an exciting week for the Jolie-Pitts. Angelina made the rounds last week to chat up and debut her Kung Fu Panda 2, also making the exciting announcement that her directorial debut will be called In the Land of Blood and Honey and will hit theaters on Dec. 23.

Amy Poehler and Will Arnett had a very hot third wheel, Rob Lowe, along for date night at BOA steakhouse in LA yesterday. The Parks and Recreation costars posed together outside the restaurant after dinner, and perhaps Amy and Will were helping Rob celebrate his just-released shirtless Vanity Fair cover. Amy and Rob's show was recently renewed and consistently ranks as one of NBC's funniest, while Will will be making his own appearance on the Thursday comedy block when he pops up on The Office's season finale. Rob has not one but two hit series on his hands since Californication will also be coming back to Showtime.

Rob Lowe showed off the hot six-pack you love and looked every bit the sexy surfer on the Annie Leibovitz-lensed cover of Vanity Fair's May issue, which hits newsstands on the 5th. The Brat Pack icon and current Parks and Recreation star allowed part of his upcoming autobiography to be excerpted in the magazine, and Rob also opened up in an interview about his circle of friends during his teen years, which included Charlie Sheen, Sean Penn, and Tom Cruise. Rob didn't pull any punches in the interview, sharing stories from his days on The Outsiders set, remembering Charlie's hard-partying 20s, and recalling just how impressed he was by Tom's intense focus. He said:

  • On meeting Tom Cruise on The Outsiders: "He’s open, friendly, funny, and has an almost robotic, bloodless focus and an intensity that I’ve never encountered before. . . already showing traits that will make him famous; he’s zeroed in like a laser."
  • On Tom's reaction to sharing a room during their auditions "We check into the Plaza Hotel. I am taken aback at the luxury and spectacle of the lobby. . . The front desk tells us we will be sharing rooms. In a flash, Cruise is on the phone to his agent, Paula Wagner. ‘Paula, they are making us share,’ he says. . . The rest of us are staggering around like happy goofs. . . 'O.K., then. Thank you very much,' he says like a 50-year-old businessman getting off the phone with his stockbroker. 'Paula says it’s fine.'"
  • On being proud of his work in the 80s: "The Brat Pack is timeless. We should all be so lucky in our lives to create things that we’re still talking about 25 years later."
  • On his playing and working hard with Charlie Sheen: "We competed to see who could play harder, then show up for work and still kick ass. The verdict: Charlie by a nose."

Adam Scott vs. Rob Lowe: Who's Hotter?

Maybe it's an age thing — Rob is 46 and Adam's 37 — but I'd pick Adam before Rob or any day. What about you?
