Ryan Gosling carried food to go in Austin on Saturday. Ryan and a friend chatted as they strolled, and he looked ready to usher in October in a Halloween-themed t-shirt. He's currently in Texas shooting director Terrence Malick's new film, which also stars Christian Bale, Rooney Mara, and Natalie Portman. Ryan and Rooney play love interests and were spotted getting close while shooting a romantic scene just last week.

Off camera, Ryan is reportedly still going strong with his girlfriend, Eva Mendes. The pair met while filming The Place Beyond the Pines last year, and were together at the Toronto International Film Festival last month to debut the movie. Ryan was also slated to premiere his project Gangster Squad this Fall, but the release date was pushed back to January of next year, and he rejoined his costars as recently as August to reshoot segments of the film.
