Salma Hayek Hits Up London Fashion Week Ahead of the Oscars

Salma Hayek made a stylish appearance at the Christopher Kane Fall 2013 fashion show during London Fashion Week yesterday.

Salma Hayek made a stylish appearance at the Christopher Kane Fall 2013 fashion show during London Fashion Week yesterday. She wore a purple Christopher Kane dress with a dramatic hat and a Saint Laurent purse. Salma was joined at the show by husband Francois-Henri Pinault, the CEO of PPR, a fashion conglomerate that owns Christopher Kane and other high-end brands like Saint Laurent and Gucci.

Francois-Henri was recently profiled by T Magazine about his career, but glimpses of his private life with Salma shined through. Salma admitted that she was "mean and nasty" with her now-husband when they first met because she was an activist and was "not into fashion at all." However, her attitude has changed since she started dating Francois-Henri, and now Salma is usually decked out in luxury brands. The big question is what she will wear this weekend at the Oscars, where Salma is slated to present an award. Don't forget to vote for your favorite movies and stars in our Oscar ballot for a chance to win $1,000 and an iPad!

Salma Departs LA With Valentina Following a Globes Slipup

Salma Hayek and her daughter, Valentina, left LA yesterday.

Salma Hayek and her daughter, Valentina, left LA yesterday. Salma and Valentina had arrived in California earlier this month to start preparations for award season. Salma was a presenter at this year's Golden Globes, where she wore a strapless black dress by Gucci Première. Salma had a bit of drama at the award show when the teleprompter unexpectedly broke while she was presenting with Paul Rudd. The two flubbed for a quick second, and Paul later explained they had no idea what to do. He said, "We didn't know, I didn't know they were doing two [categories] — we never had rehearsal." Salma won't be out of LA for too long — she'll return in February to attend the 2013 Spirit Awards, where she and Jeremy Renner will act as honorary cochairs.

The Best Highlights From the 2013 Golden Globes!

The 2013 Golden Globes were full of excitement and emotion in LA on Sunday night.

The 2013 Golden Globes were full of excitement and emotion in LA on Sunday night. Hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler kept the evening light with their jokes and antics, like Amy nuzzling with George Clooney in the audience and the two of them likening Kathryn Bigelow's short-lived marriage to James Cameron to "torture." Other stars also got some big laughs as well, including presenter Aziz Ansari, who pretended to be stoned from Downton Abbey star Michelle Dockery's weed cookies. Sacha Baron Cohen gave a mini roast of his Les Misérables costars, when he joked about Anne Hathaway's infamous upskirt incident and sarcastically remarked that Russell Crowe's singing lessons in preparation for the film was "money well spent." Jodie Foster came out while accepting her Cecil B. DeMille lifetime achievement award, moving many attendees to tears.

The show was also full of some big, surprising wins. Ben Affleck nabbed best director for Argo after getting shut out of the category for the Oscar nominations on Thursday, and Argo also won best drama motion picture over Lincoln. Hugh Jackman picked up the best actor in a comedy or musical honor, beating out favorite Bradley Cooper. Most winners broke down into happy tears while accepting their awards, including Jennifer Lawrence, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, and Lena Dunham. Lena got particularly emotional while admitting that she had looked up to her fellow best actress nominees when she was younger and that they helped her get through awkward moments. Always quick to add a joke, nominees Tina and Amy joked that they were happy they could get the young Lena "through middle school." Make sure to check out the full list of Golden Globes winners and weigh in on your favorite styles in our red-carpet fashion and beauty polls.
