Anne Hathaway and Sarah Jessica Parker brought Hollywood to the art world when they attended the Tate Americas Foundation Artists Dinner in NYC yesterday. Anne wore a pink Givenchy dress and styled her new blond hair in a chic '60 pixie cut. Meanwhile, SJP wore a vintage floral dress and Fendi cuffs as she chatted with Anne inside the party. Both Anne and Sarah Jessica had crossed paths earlier this week when they both attended the 2013 Met Gala on Monday night. They weren't the only stars still basking in the post-Met glow — Alexa Chung, who attended the ball earlier this week, also dropped by the Tate dinner and got a chance to chat with Anne and her husband, Adam Shulman. Anne Hathaway — bleach-blond pixie cut still intact — went with a leg-baring soft pink Givenchy mini and gold Jimmy Choo sandals; Ciara stunned in a nude long-sleeved gown; Sarah Jessica Parker wore a vintage floral number and loaded up on a very cool mix of jewels (Fred Leighton earrings, a Repossi turquoise ring, and a Fendi cuff and rings); and Alexa Chung opted for a dark two-toned strapless cocktail dress with ankle-strap pumps. The 2013 Met Gala has come and gone, but we are still replaying the most memorable fashion moments over and over again in our heads! It was a punk takeover on the red carpet, but who really pulled it off? Hint: she wore a ridiculously cool mohawk! The hair and makeup at the Costume Institute Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art is consistently some of the best of the year. And with a theme centering around the Punk: Chaos to Couture exhibit, high drama was a must-have look. But surprisingly, the best looks of the evening ran the gamut of sophisticated rebel to all-out rocker.
Sarah Jessica Parker wowed the red carpet congregation with an over-the-top Trojan headpiece that was nestled among a twisting collection of fishtail braids. Nicole Richie was also a surprising arrival, sporting a wispy, gray beehive that was part powdered wig and part punk. Speaking of wigs, Madonna opted for a Bettie Page-inspired hairpiece, complete with short, blunt bangs.
Moving on to the blondes of the ball, Sienna Miller went all-out grunge with a seriously textured hairstyle embellished with a studded hairpiece, inky black liner, and a nude lipstick. And in one of the more jaw-dropping moments of the evening, Anne Hathaway stunned with a peroxide blond pompadour, accented with lavender shadow and loads of liner.
