Sarah Jessica Parker at Carnegie Hall Opening Night Gala
Sarah Jessica Parker Helps Open a New Season at Carnegie Hall
Sarah Jessica Parker mingled at Carnegie Hall in NYC last night for their 2012-2013 Season Opening Night Gala. She was out for the reception along with other notable New Yorkers, including Mayor Bloomberg, Barbara Walters, and Chelsea Clinton, who brought along husband Marc Mezvinsky. SJP had the evening out on the town after a morning spent with her kids, James Wilkie, Tabitha, and Loretta Broderick. She's been mixing up a.m. school runs with glamorous p.m. endeavors, like the opening of the NYC Ballet and Fashion's Night Out.
SJP also found a few free hours to pose for Elle's Women in Hollywood issue, in which she discussed taking on roles unlike what she's done before. Referring to her iconic role of Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City, SJP said, "I don't love the idea of playing another woman who loves fashion and is slightly flawed in New York City. I loved Carrie, and I don't want to do the poor man's version of her. And while those are often the lucrative things to do, it's more reason to look in the other direction."
