Is Selling Baby News for Charity Going Too Far?

After the SAGs, you guys were pretty convinced that Angelina is pregnant again, but she hasn't said anything yet. The latest rumor is that Angelina is looking to see if she can sell the confirmation and give the money to charity. We know that Angie was successful doing this with family photos, but this is a new idea. So tell us — is selling baby news for charity going too far?

Angie and Brad are TWO of the fewest smartest people in Hollywood by using their FAME to help charities. It doesn't bother me when they sell their stories and donate their profits to charities. They maintain a certain control over the madness going on these days with celebrities & tabloids. Of course MOST of us are SMART enough to REALIZE much of what is printed in those magazines are TRASH. Save your money! Just read it on the internet for FREE!

I agree that it's not a very practical idea, but if the money is going to charity, so what? Everyone will win-- the magazine that gets the announcement, the readers of the magazine, and the people served by the charity. It's all good.

The whole thing is weird. Why the secrets like Tori Spelling too? In a few months it will be more than obvious on that tiny frame of hers! I like what she does for charity, but it's just weird. She thinks she makes the world go round-and apparently she does!

Hey, if some rag is willing to pay a huge sum of money for news that will eventually be confirmed anyway, why not have that money benefit someone who needs it. Like the Katrina victims Brad is building housing for. This is a couple who uses their celebrity to help others who need it. I see that as noble, and just think, if all celebs thought like that, how much it could accomplish. They get offered more money sometimes for stories and photos than a lot of people will earn in their entire lifetimes. To give this money to charity instead of keeping it all to themselves is heroic. I used to not be an Angelina fan, but I am changing up on that. I believe they both have great intentions, even though it is not always taken that way.

It is better to sell it themself then having a mob of crazy paps chasing them to get the first picture for there own profit. at least the money go to a good cause, and it is a good " pied de nez " to all those maniac who feed on other peoples life.

There is a difference between those who read Pop for entertainment NEWS (events, parties, newsworthy outings) and those who read for trashy gossip. Just because you see opinions posted here doesn't mean that anyone is a hypocrite for being on the site and posting that they think that exploitation of celebs is wrong.

If the money go to charity that's fine, but remember the last time she made 10 mil out of selling photos and news and only donated a small amount to charity. But what can you expect from a person that it's been known to be... not so honest.

i really think it is obnoxious too. They are perpetuating the media frenzy, selling off their children "for a good cause". They have enough of their own money to donate, no need to sell out their kids for it as well.

I think this is a great idea. I'm sure people have already profited by the rumors of her pregnancy. If they plan on making it official, why not sell it for money that will go to charity? We know Angelina is philanthropic, and I know doubt believe that 100% of what she sells will go to a deserving charity.

Hey, better a charity get money for an announcement, than one of the tabloids pay off their so-called "friends" to get the scoop. Since that's just what they'd do.
