Seth Rogen Shares a Moving Personal Story

Seth Rogen appeared before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies on Wednesday to give a funny, touching, and deeply personal testimony on the need for more research into Alzheimer's disease. The actor opened up about how he is connected to the disease as his wife's mother has Alzheimer's, which sparked him to start his own charity, Hilarity For Charity, to raise funds for research and families affected by the disease. While the disease was no laughing matter, Seth did bring humor to the hearing, saying he was happy to "be called an expert in something" for once and joked that the senators had no idea who he was. He also added, "I came here today for few reasons. One, I'm a huge House of Cards fan. Two, people need more help. I've personally witnessed the massive amount of financial strain this disease causes. Three, to show people they are not alone. So few people share their personal stories."
