Robert Pattinson was just one of the many famous faces who attended the annual Stand Up to Cancer telecast held at LA's Shrine Auditorium tonight. The event aims to raise awareness and money for the fight against cancer, as supporters can call in to donate at any point during the commercial-free broadcast. Gwyneth Paltrow popped up in the philanthropy's signature tee, while her husband, Chris Martin, was overseas rehearsing for his performance with Coldplay at the upcoming Paralympic closing ceremony.

Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake attended together, while Modern Family's Sofia Vergara was on hand to take calls. Olympic swimmer Missy Franklin joined the charitable fun, as did Seth Rogen and Minka Kelly. Matt Damon and Michael Douglas shared a recorded message during the show and Taylor Swift, Alicia Keys, and Tim McGraw took the stage to perform.

Seth Rogen joined his Armani-clad wife, Lauren Miller, at last night's NYC premiere of For a Good Time, Call . . . Lauren wrote the raunchy comedy and costars in it with funny lady Ari Graynor, who chose a pink low-cut dress from Honor and Brian Atwood heels. Justin Long, who's reportedly dating Kate Mara, stepped out solo and adorably posed for photos holding his phone. Paul Rudd, Kristen Wiig, and Mad Men's Elisabeth Moss stopped by the afterparty to show their support for the project. Elisabeth debuted a short blond bob on the red carpet and turned heads in a sexy black cocktail dress. When asked if blondes really have more fun, Elisabeth joked that she is "so far." For a Good Time, Call . . . hits theaters Aug. 31.

Rihanna and Emma Watson reported to the set of The End of the World, Seth Rogen's directorial debut, last night in New Orleans. The girls were busy shooting an outdoor party scene along with many of their hilarious male costars, including Seth's Freaks and Geeks buddies Jason Segel and James Franco. Aziz Ansari, Michael Cera, and Jonah Hill also got in on the fun, as did Paul Rudd and Mindy Kaling. The plot of the film involves the literal end of the world, which takes place during a celebrity-filled party at James's house. Rihanna, Emma, and company are all playing themselves.

Rihanna seemed to have a particularly good time with costar Kevin Hart. After they wrapped for the day, she tweeted, "Just leaving set! Kevin Hart clearly has childhood issues! . . . This has to be one of my favorite moments in life." Emma echoed the sentiments of having had a fun day. She wrote on Twitter, "Comedy is brutal . . . New Orleans is the best!" Emma will trade Louisiana, though, for California in the coming days. She's due in LA Sunday to attend this year's MTV Movie Awards.

Tribeca Takeaway: Take This Waltz

The Tribeca Film Festival is in full swing in New York City, and Take This Waltz was among the many we were excited to check out. The film stars indie staple Michelle Williams as a woman whose magnetic pull to a neighbor makes her question whether she is truly happy in her marriage.

  • Who's behind it? The film was written, produced, and directed by Sarah Polley, whose most recent directorial work is 2006's Away From Her. Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen, Luke Kirby, and Sarah Silverman star.
  • What's it about? Margot (Williams) has been happily married to Lou (Rogen) for the past five years. They tell one another they love each other so much that they detail ways in which they'd kill the other (usually with kitchen appliances), and they're supremely intimate in every way except on a sexual level. Despite their evident love, the couple isn't communicating on a very basic level, making Margot feel as though something is missing. In a series of chance encounters abroad, she ends up meeting Daniel (Kirby), who is mysterious, dark, handsome, and everything her professional chicken chef husband is not. The two have an unexplainable magnetic pull to one another, and when they return to their respective homes, they realize they're neighbors. It's unlikely, but hey, it's fate. Margot and Daniel begin spending time together, but they're plagued by Margot's existing, yet failing, connection to her husband.

For my thoughts on the film, just keep reading.

Take This Waltz Trailer: Michelle Williams Is Torn Between Two Lovers

The trailer for Take This Waltz has "precious indie movie" written all over it, right down to the fact that the preview gives us little in the way of plot.

The trailer for Take This Waltz has "precious indie movie" written all over it, right down to the fact that the preview gives us little in the way of plot. Instead, we glean what we can from watching Michelle Williams lead a comfortable married life with Seth Rogen, until she's enticed by a handsome new guy (played by Luke Kirby).

Though I wish this preview had more dialogue, I'm already looking forward to seeing Seth Rogen step outside his comfort zone with some deeper material than what he's usually given, and I can't wait to see him and Williams as an onscreen couple. The film marks the sophomore directing effort from Sarah Polley (who also directed Away From Her). Check out the trailer when you read more
