Our Favorite Wood Nymph, Shailene Woodley, Went Barefoot After the Met Gala

We know Shailene Woodley follows a more earthy, hippie way of life, and, apparently, she likes that to translate to her red carpet looks. The Divergent star wore a tree-inspired Rodarte number to the NYC Met Gala on Monday. She also showed off a new, blonder 'do as she walked the carpet and mingled with her fellow Rodarte wearer Kirsten Dunst. After the bash, Shailene opted to ditch her sky-high heels in favor of walking barefoot on the street of NYC as she headed to various afterparties with her pals. (To be fair to Shailene, she's gone barefoot at events before!)

This year's Met Gala will be the first event in the Metropolitan Museum of Art's newly renamed Anna Wintour Costume Center (formerly just the Costume Institute) and will celebrate the work of American-based designer Charles James. Charles was best known in the '40s and '50s for his glamorous ball gowns. Don't forget to check out the all-time best dressed guests from the Met Gala!
