Shonda Rhimes, the woman behind Grey's Anatomy and Scandal, brought her storytelling talents to the stage for Dartmouth's commencement on Sunday, delivering an inspiring speech after she received an honorary doctorate of fine arts from her alma mater. "So. This is weird," she began, saying that she's a writer, not a speaker. She joked, "I actually contemplated bringing Ellen Pompeo or Kerry Washington here to say my speech for me." Turns out, Shonda didn't give herself enough credit, as she delivered one wise, witty line after another. "I think a lot of people dream," she said at one point. "And while they are busy dreaming, the really happy people, the really successful people, the really interesting, engaged, powerful people, are busy doing."
