Should Jessica Simpson Still Pose For Self Magazine?

The media has been buzzing about Jessica Simpson's new curves for the past week or so, and until now the singer has stayed strong and kept a smile on her face. Now there is word that Jessica has pulled out of posing as the cover girl for Self magazine. While the magazine has nothing but love for Jess and say that her schedule was too busy, there is speculation that she backed out because she's uncomfortable with all the scrutiny. What do you think — should Jessica still pose for the magazine?

Regardless of her weight, I don't like her and I don't think she should be on the cover because she hasn't done anything to deserve it or inspire other women. Sure she is accepting her body, but her weight fluctuates so often it is not healthy.

Self Magazine is just trying to be nice to Jessica. Self magazine is about health, fitness, beauty, and diet. Jessica is just to big now to be on the cover. I would never buy a health and fitness magazine with fat Jessica on the cover. They dropped her.

If Jessica is a size 2 now, what size was she when she made Dukes of Hazzard? The only way she wears a size 2 now is if Joe is sewing size 2 labels in her size 12 jeans.

I can't believe people on here are calling her "fat" Jessica is not FAT and I hate to see what this world is telling their kids about their body image. Jessica is what, a size 2? That is considered fat now? She is human and everyone goes up and down in their weight...hell, I go up and down in my weight. Life is too short to be caring what the world thinks of you...she should pose for Self magazine and perhaps talk about the cause and effect of her weight gain. Show the world no matter how much you weigh that you still LOVE YOURSELF.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and be brutally honest: NO, she should not. She is not IN good 'Shape'. She has a noticeable amount of fat on her body. I thought Shape was a fitness magazine. She is far from fit right now. Thats like putting a baseball player on the cover of In Style magazine. WTF.

I am not a fan of Jessica's, but she should be proud that she has a healthy body type. Part of the problem with her "weight" was the stupid pants she was wearing. She just needs to get some taste (or a stylist) and everything would be fine.

The tranny was on Self, or an equivalent, recently and they photoshopped her to half her size. She's only pulling out because this time the photoshopping will be obvious.

If those pictures of her vain attempt to cram her "curves" into too small clothing hadn't surfaced she would have done the cover because then Self might have been able to get away with all the photoshopping they surely would have done. Now that we have all seen the back fat, belly rolls, and the true size of her backside, she would have been ridiculed for the photoshopped cover. If only Jessica had worn a roomy poncho at that concert. Then she could have done the cover and pretended that the photoshopped picture was what was really underneath it.
