YOU ARE SO MEAN! Your mother should ground you for life. I don't care if you ARE almost 30. Centipedes need to be cut in half. That's the best way. Outside, a shovel is the perfect tool.

The thing with house centipedes is that when you spray them with bug killer, sometimes their legs fall off and lay there twitching for about a minute. I remember one time after I'd sprayed a 'pede it lugged itself across the floor and left this hideous trail of twitching legs...WHICH I had to wipe up. My mother is horrified by those things. So, being Toronado, about a week ago I decided to cut up. I noticed a pretty big 'pede in the bathroom and promptly sprayed it. Right on cue a leg fell off and twitched up a storm. Couple minutes later I informed my mother of the 'pede's demise, telling her about the leg. She almost wretched when I opened my hand and stuck the leg right under her nose. Aaaah, it feels good to be bad, sometimes.

LOL Val. My son isn't old enough to be scared yet. But, he's not coordinated enough to actually connect with the bug - although he'll stomp his little heart out trying. So, when my husband's not around, we compromise. I kill it, he picks it up and throws it away.

roaches (texas) and spiders. i always tell my girls "how big is the spider and how big are you? so who is more afraid?" but inside i'm like "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" as i grab it with tp and flush it. jenna kindergarten 2003-2004
