Are the Stars of The Hills Overpaid?

Lauren Conrad spent some of her hard-earned cash on flowers yesterday. Speaking of her paycheck, InTouch has details on the rumored salaries of The Hills cast. As expected, LC makes the most with $75K per episode. As for the rest, Heidi and Spencer make $65K each, followed by Audrina with $35K and Whitney at $20K. Brody Jenner and Lo Bosworth each take in $10K for their episodes, and Stephanie Pratt earns $8K. So tell us — do you think the stars of The Hills are overpaid?

At the very most, I thought MTV paid their rent but just cutting them a check; wow----it's not like this is a sitcom or anything so why even pay them?

I'm shocked that anyone is surprised by the amount of money they make. I'm actually surprised that it's not more money. They're entertainers. Whether or not you are entertained by them is another question. Yes, we live in a country where celebrities make more money than firefighters and teachers, that's not news and it's not specific to America. But to sit here on a celebrity gossip website complaining about it seems to be a bit hypocritical.

You know where I'd like to see the money go? To the people who actually make the show... the camera crew, the editors, the PAs... I'm a film student and it kind of shocks me that the people who do the least work get paid the most :/

of course they are all overpaid. Who in Hollywood isn't?But at the same time, if someone is dumb enough to pay them that, then good for them. I'd take it too! I mean in reality, even if they were paid nothing, they would still be getting paid because it would be promoting them and there other "talents".What I find most funny about the show, is when it follows them, it acts like they are normal everyday people...they NEVER show them at a photoshoot or doing a commerical, or working on there own projects...not to mention no one ever comes up to them and wants there autograph....I mean who really would, but we all know they have fans.) There lives are NOT normal, and the fact that we don't see all of this just goes to show thats it's NOT reality.

Sundaygreen, so true! I've never seen a single episode either, and yet a few weeks back I got a Guess Who of Whitney Port right on the first guess! :? I was pretty disgusted with myself... it's such an invasion of my brain space that I'm exposed to these morons even though I don't watch their show!

They are getting paid because tons of people (including a lot of the readers here who probably don't care to admit it) are actually watching the show. I think there is a story about the hills or someone from the hills on Popsugar at least once a day. I've never even watched the fucking thing and I know what's going on in their lives! Why is everyone so GD surprised?

Ummm i think this is a silly question. if you think they arent overpaid..your delusional and need help. They have ZEROOOO talent! wat does the show consist of besides stupid made up drama that is from 8th grade??? where area all the hard working talented people. Our society has gone to shit with worshiping of these retarted already rich losers..does anyone not have anything better to do than to sit and watch rich ppl go eat,shop, and party???
