Stars Of Tomorrow Show the Power of Youth

Some of Hollywood's most promising young stars joined forces over the weekend for Variety's Power of Youth Benefit in LA. Vanessa Hudgens got right to work on improving her somewhat tainted image, joining fellow starlets Miley Cyrus and Emma Roberts on the red carpet. All of the proceeds went to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, so it's pretty great to see that Hollywood's teenagers are already getting into philanthropy and giving back. Hopefully they can keep it up as they continue their rise to fame.

My daughter and I watch Hannah Montana and Miley sings live on the show a lot. She has a beautiful voice. She doesn't always lip-sync and she can actually sing!! A lot better than most of the older singers.

Lip-syncers annoy me too.....I could be one of those singers who lip-syncs for every performance and make millions.

I just get tired of the whole- "I dance so much during my performance that I have to lip sync." thingMNDemspeyLover - I'm the same way. i completely agree! (CANT STAND LIPSYNCERS ! )this is why i dont like duff.and ashlee.and britney's so called comeback.

Glad to know of someone who has heard her live. Everything I have seen her on--none of the TRLs or GMA shows that you mentioned. I just get tired of the whole- "I dance so much during my performance that I have to lip sync." thing. She's not much of a dancer so I don't know why she has to fake it so often. Ashlee Simpson has forever jaded me--don't ask me why I ever thought she was a real singer. Thanks for letting me know about Miley-now I won't have so much of an issue if/when my daughter wants to buy her music.

I have heard Miley sing live. The concert videos they show of her on Disney are always lip-synced. Her performances on shows such as GMA and Today Show etc were live and she is a decent singer. She also put Fergie to shame on TRL when she finnished singing the lines of some of Fergies songs....Fergie didn't sing, just spoke the words.

Miley Cyrus-Cute, but serious lipsyncer-please use your true talents! Not tons of potential, but she's already richer than I'll EVER be! Emma Roberts-adorable, iffy dad, of course-amazing aunt! Loved her in Nancy Drew! She's got a ton of potential! Vanessa Hudgens-so much talent here, but I worry about the Lohan-factor=disney actress-too much success too soon----Britney too!
