Steve Carell returns as the supervillain — and doting dad — Gru in Despicable Me 2, which hits theaters on July 3. We caught up with Steve recently to discuss how fatherhood changed his own outlook "on everything" in his life, and chatted about how he connected to his animated character as a fellow dad. Steve also talked about the "never not funny" Kristen Wiig, who plays his love interest in this film as well as the upcoming Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, and the process of devising the "vaguely sinister" voice of his Despicable Me character.
