I lost all respect for Mel the last time he ranted and lost control. I'm a big Anti-drunk driving supporter. As for Grindhouse!!! I'M SO EXCITED ABOUT IT!!! Upset that he took out some scenes but I'm sure he'll make up for it again in a later movie.

Mel's become quite the film maker but he really needs to learn to curb that temper. Someone send that man a rx for happy pills

I feel bad for Mel... but i can understand what it's like ( in that situation) to get so frustrated you'd tell someone to f-off. Not saying it's wrong or right. But I can just relate. And not to mention it was "his" representation of it. And it was his money (wasn't it?) that made the film. The movie didn't look half bad, and from what I remember seeing it was suppose to be accurate, I think. I dunno....

I don't know whether I think he's a jerk, or whether I feel sorry for him. I think we've all been in positions where something we say gets taken out of context, or we make a mistake and have people just never let you move past it.

I just think that if you are going to be a public speaker, you must know how to deal with people that are going to ask difficult questions or might not agree with what you have to say. There are better ways to handle the situation then hurling the F bomb!

Mel Gibson is still awesome. So many people on here say he's a mess, but everyone has their breaking point on criticism. And as much as the woman may have said the Mayans were shown in a negative light...it was a movie for entertainment purposes...every protagonist needs an antagonist. This goes back to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and the depiction of the Indians...again, for every good guy you need a bad guy.

PS: The star of that movie is so beautiful. Shameful that there are no posts on him (Rudy Youngblood) or any minorities at that.

Yes, movies do need a antagonist. But the HUGE distinction with Passion and Apocolypto is that he says that he is portraying the historical truth of their rituals. He said that Passion was exactly what was in the Bible and it wasn't.
