Katie Holmes capped off her fancy evening with friends and busy afternoon of showing off her Holmes and Yang clothing line by making a midnight dessert run to NYC's Serendipity with her daughter Suri. It seems as though Suri's sweet tooth wasn't satisfied by the treats they enjoyed at their table, because on their way out she grabbed a box of adult candies called "Penis Gummies." The almost four-year-old likely didn't know what exactly she was looking at, but the image of her holding those candies is certainly startling. Damn, why don't all you people leave Katie, and Suri alone, who cares if she was out late. Who cares what she wears, at least she's always with her daughter, and not neglected with a nannny. They are very nice people, shame on those who always follws these families to find faults in there lives!!
Can we say, too quick to judge? Can you say, blame the candy store? I mean really...this one photo does not tell the entire story. Before you judge educate yourself. Nothing worse than uneducated people judging others.
Glory! Forget the fact that are shaped like male "gibblets"...the REAL problem here is that Suri is out and about at midnite AND eating sugary treats! Oh yeah, AND she isn't allowed to walk on her own two legs. Carrying her around like a plastic doll teaches her to not deal with life! She IS the child of a movie star, she better get used to it. Psychologically, I think KATIE is the insecure one and is hiding behind Suri. Suri is Katie's security blanket. Let the child walk!
So those who said Katie probably didn't buy the inappropriate candy were right. Instead her assisdtant bought it for her. What Suri wants Suri gets after all. This follow up to a pre-school aged child sucking on a pacifier is quite disturbing. Equally as troublesome is a child being taken out after midnight for a hot fudge sundae. None of this is necessary. Is it all just attention-getting? Or are we witnessing a truly clueless borderline negligent example of celebrity parenting? We may never know.

As reported on dailymail: A spokesperson for the restaurant told MailOnline: 'The Penis Gummies sweets were purchased by the group from the gift shop at the front of the restaurant.' It is not clear if they were a gift or a takeaway treat for little Suri. But it's not just her choice of sugary snack that will raise eyebrows. Katie and her daughter didn't leave the restaurant until after midnight - well past most four-year-olds bed time.

I would not be surprised if this is all part of TomKat's endless attempts to attract attention. Why else would Suri be out with her at such a late hour, and even be left with enough time to study the candy carefully (and have her pic snapped)? Katie surely has plenty of nannies at hand for Suri so there is simply no excuse for dragging her around town at midnight - unless you do indeed want to attract attention. I mean, even a regular, non-famour person would attract the attention of onlookers if you brought a toddler with you to a public place after midnight! I feel bad for Suri, I have yet to see her play with children her own age, and I just can't help feeling that her lifestyle and routines are wildly inappropriate for a child her age.
you can see that katie is trying to keep from laughing when she is biting her lips together. i do not think a child of that age should be out that late unless it is a very, very, very special occasion (like they took a long nap so they could go out to a showing at the theater when relatives are in town or something wildly unique). i do however think it is a little funny that she picked these up - but man, my four year old could so sound out those letters and read that word! and i wonder if suri could too - probably! she probably just thought it was weird and why would they make those and that was the end of the story.

Why would any parent take there child to a place that sells or has that type of material in it at midnight? Ok so someone could argue that Katie might not of bought the candy for the kid, and some might argue that the kid just grabbed it and Katie didnt know. But HELLO!! wake up people, you dont take a 4 year old out in a public place at midnight period! That child should be in bed. Protective services should strip that child away before her mother has a chance to ruin her even more. I wonder if Tom even has a role in this or if he is just clueless to the wherabouts of his child!

Yea I find this disturbing, the real issue though is - as a few people have stated - that Katie is taking her 4-yearold out at midnight! And it's not even the first time they're out late at night. That girl should be at home in bed! She's a child, not Katie's party girlfriend!
Okay I just read somewhere else that yes Suri picked up the candy but NO Katie did not buy it for her. So the only problem with this story is that Suri continues to go stay out at midnight, wears heels and lipstick, no coat or a very thin coat in the winter time, but still sucks a binky. I can't wait for her tell all book.

Do we know what happened right after this picture was taken? Maybe Katie pulled it right out of Suri's hands and put it back. The point is, we don't know what the real situation was and it's too little information to judge. Kids grab things all the time.
