The Company You Keep Trailer: Shia LaBeouf Hunts For Robert Redford

Shia LaBeouf is a determined reporter in the hunt for a story in the thriller The Company You Keep, which also stars Robert Redford as the subject of his unwelcome attention. Jim (Redford) is a former student activist, who has lived in peace for decades hiding from the government. His world is rocked when he sees that one of his demonstration colleagues (Susan Sarandon) has been arrested for murder by the FBI. As Jim flees, Ben (LaBeouf) takes on the case of tracking him down and uncovering the secrets he's buried for years.

Admittedly, this isn't a new concept and I can think of a handful of movies it resembles, but I'm excited to see the genre through Redford's directorial lens. I can totally see LaBeouf as a scrappy reporter, and I'm excited about the bank of supporting actors like Stanley Tucci, Richard Jenkins, and Anna Kendrick. The Company You Keep is premiering next week at the Venice Film Festival (then showing a couple days after that at the Toronto International Film Festival), but there is no official US release date yet. The Big Wedding Trailer: Robert De Niro and Diane Keaton Throw a Star-Studded Event

There's a good chance the trailer for The Big Wedding will feel very familiar to you, because it features a ton of stars in roles we've seen them play before.

There's a good chance the trailer for The Big Wedding will feel very familiar to you, because it features a ton of stars in roles we've seen them play before. Amanda Seyfried as a bride-to-be? Check. Robin Williams as a wedding officiant? Check. Diane Keaton as the mother of the bride? Check. The list goes on, as the huge cast also includes the likes of Robert De Niro, Susan Sarandon, and Katherine Heigl, to name a few. The ensemble is drawn together in the name of Alejandro (Ben Barnes), who wants to invite his birth mother to his wedding to Missy (Seyfried). Ready for the wacky twist? He wants his adoptive parents (Keaton and De Niro) to act like they're still together because his birth mother doesn't believe in divorce.

Though the trailer is filled with clichés (think awkward sexual scenarios, uptempo classic songs, and kids who seem to be more mature than their parents), it's still kind of charming. Maybe it's because the preview reminds me of It's Complicated, which is a movie that I love despite its predictability, or that I just resist the cast. The film hits theaters on Oct. 26, but watch the trailer when you read more

Cloud Atlas Trailer: How Would You Like Your Hanks Today?

If you love Tom Hanks and have six minutes to spare, then, boy, do I have good news for you!

If you love Tom Hanks and have six minutes to spare, then, boy, do I have good news for you! The official trailer for Cloud Atlas has arrived, and it's packed with the actor in various eras. The movie is based on the best-selling novel by David Mitchell, and it has the characters meeting over and over again in different realities, different eras, as different people. They cross and recross each others' lives "like figure skaters," as one of Jim Broadbent's characters explains. The film also features a long list of talent, including Halle Berry, Susan Sarandon, Hugh Grant, and Jim Sturgess.

With a sweeping soundtrack and dramatic visuals, the trailer is gorgeous, but I don't think my brain has been so befuddled since I watched Inception. The film is produced and codirected by Andy and Lana Wachowski, and I can't think of anyone better to take on such a conceptually complex story than the team behind the Matrix series. The movie comes out Oct. 26, but you can see the trailer when you read more

Jeff, Who Lives at Home Trailer: Jason Segel Gets Sort of Serious

In Jeff, Who Lives at Home, the latest film from the Duplass brothers (the filmmakers behind The Puffy Chair and Cyrus), Jason Segel stars as Jeff, a philosophizing stoner who (quite literally) lives at home in his mother's (Susan Sarandon) basement.

Jeff is constantly looking for signs from the universe, and on one particular day, he bumps into his brother (Ed Helms), who has a very different outlook on life. In a series of unexpected and unfortunate events, the two try their best to make sense of what's happening all around them.

Segel is playing his standard lovable goofball role, but in this case he's got such a strong, and perhaps warped, sense of self-awareness that it's debilitating. We're curious as to how he'll tackle this somewhat darker role. The ladies in the supporting cast, Judy Greer and Sarandon, are also amazing and taking on similarly heartfelt roles, so we can't wait to see where the Duplass brothers go with this one.

Jennifer Aniston Is All Smiles For Another Charitable Night With Friends

Jennifer Aniston joined Susan Sarandon and close friend Ben Stiller at last night's Artists For Haiti Dinner, benefiting The Stiller Foundation.

Jennifer Aniston joined Susan Sarandon and close friend Ben Stiller at last night's Artists For Haiti Dinner, benefiting The Stiller Foundation. It was the second charitable night in a row for Jen, who stepped out on Thursday with boyfriend Justin Theroux and threw down some serious cash during a fundraising auction. Jen reportedly spent $450,000 on a Glenn Ligon piece with proceeds benefiting The Stiller Foundation's efforts in Haiti. Ben and Jen have been pals since their days in front of the camera shooting Along Came Polly, and he's got a special connection with Justin too. The guys cowrote Tropic Thunder and costarred together in Zoolander. It seems Jen and Justin enjoy Ben's company since they vacationed with his family in Hawaii over the Summer and recently doubled dated with Ben and his wife, Christine Taylor. Jen can look forward to another night on the town next week when she debuts her short film, Five, on Monday.
