Taylor Lautner at Sydney Premiere of Abduction Pictures

Taylor Lautner was in Sydney today, where he suited up for a showing of his upcoming movie Abduction. The action-thriller gives Taylor his first chance to carry a film as a leading man, and while it hits theaters stateside in September, he's getting started promoting the project Down Under first. Taylor landed in Melbourne on Sunday just a few hours before another special screening of the film there. The release of Abduction, which costars Taylor's rumored real-life girlfriend, Lily Collins, will kick off a busy Fall for the actor. Breaking Dawn comes out on Nov. 18, as well. Taylor will take a brief break from his travels later this week as he heads home to LA, where he'll be one of the presenters at the 2011 MTV VMAs on Saturday!
