Teri's Performance on Idol Gives Back — Love It or Leave It?

Last night Teri Hatcher took the stage with Band From TV to perform as part of Idol Gives Back. Rather than pick an inspirational ballad like many of the other performers, Teri opted for a cheeky skit and a cover of Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" instead. I just joined this sight to post about the New Kids, but after browsing the sight I found this post. I was actually at the pre taping of that number and Terri sounded fabulous live. They tone it down for TV but live it was fabuous. Terri does so much charity and she did Comedy for a Cure that night, and she sang with Band From Tv again. She is a great sport.

It was okay. In the beginning, she sounded pretty good, but then she hit some rough notes near the middle and toward the end of the song. I don't agree with those who say she was horrendous and awkward.

Wow she actually did pretty good for someone who's not a professional singer, I think people are a bit too hard on her, it's not because one's job isn't singer that they shouldn't sing, especially if they still manage to do it pretty well without having had the proper training for it, I mean you'd put me on stage and ask me to sing like she did, and trust me every single person watching would turn their tv off straight away because of how tone death I am!

sonnia, I hate to burst your bubble, but "band from TV" has been performing for about a year with Teri as the lead singer. Don't believe me? Go to b a n d f r o m t v . o r g - Amazing isn't it? Someone should have told Teri long before now that she needs vocal lessons.

wow... to quote Simon... "I think that was the wrong song choice!" She def isn't a singer and to pick something that well known and still popular was a bad choice. But def have to give her kudo's for being brave enough to get up and sing on national television. Hope she doesn't have any plans to quit her day job though!

I don't think she sang very bad, just don't like the song don't think it was rght for her and her performance wasn't very exiting either..

I never had a problem with Teri Hatcher, and I have no problem with the Band From TV, but Teri Hatcher is an actress, not a singer. I've never heard such a mediocre singing voice. She's up to level with Hayden Panetierre, and that's no compliment!
