Eyeing Alba's Baby Bump

Jessica Alba showed off the essential baby bump pose at the premiere of The Eye in Paris yesterday.

Jessica Alba showed off the essential baby bump pose at the premiere of The Eye in Paris yesterday. The movie didn't do so well in the states, but there's always a chance it could be a big hit overseas, right? Jessica has made the most of her trip abroad — exploring the sights, checking out Fashion Week, and indulging in the food. Yum. She blogged on MySpace all about it:

Hey guys, I am now in Europe promoting to "the eye." LAST TRIP!!! Went to the Lanvan [sic] show and the Rodin museum in Paris...amazing. Also saw Amy Whinehouse [sic] perform. She has such an incredible voice. She's definitely a throwback...reminiscent of Ella. I am currently getting my makeup done to go to the premiere of my movie. Can't wait to get home and rest. Every day I have eaten ham and cheese sandwiches, I cant get enough of them. Wish they had these back in the states, the bread is amazing. My tummy is getting bigger by the second and the little one must like the food too because it is moving and kicking like crazy. ITS THE BEST. Have to go but just wanted to check in. JA

While everything does taste better in Paris and those pregnancy cravings must be fierce, someone should probably tell her that ham and cheese sandwiches aren't that hard to come by back home in LA. It sounds like she could use a little rest and relaxation waiting for baby at home with a sandwich in hand.

Box Office: Hudson and McConaughey Strike Gold

The chemistry between Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey proved lucrative once again as their comedy, Fool's Gold, won the top spot at the box office over the weekend, earning $22 million.

The chemistry between Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey proved lucrative once again as their comedy, Fool's Gold, won the top spot at the box office over the weekend, earning $22 million. Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins, starring Martin Lawrence and Cedric the Entertainer, came in No. 2 grossing $17 million, followed by Disney's super tween 3-D concert experience Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour in the third spot.

Fans of Hudson and McConaughey seem like they're most in the mood for this duo around Valentine's Day as their previous rom-com How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days opened the same weekend in 2003 with similar box office results, Variety reports.

Oscar nominee Juno remained in the top 10 coming in fifth this week just behind Jessica Alba's thriller, The Eye. Katherine Heigl's 27 Dresses continued to draw fans coming in sixth place and There Will Be Blood came in at No. 10.

If you're still in the mood for love next weekend, there will be even more to choose from when Ryan Reynolds and super cutie Abigail Breslin hit the screen in Definitely, Maybe.

Jessica and Cash Eye LA

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren were the couple of the night at last night's premiere of The Eye in LA.

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren were the couple of the night at last night's premiere of The Eye in LA. At least Cash, who usually skips the red carpet, got all dressed up (other than the Chucks on his feet) to be on his lady's arm for her big event. Jessica went with something flowy rather than skin tight, but still posed to show off that growing and famous baby bump of hers. Jessica's been honest about not being entirely thrilled with the physical side effects of pregnancy, but she looks great. I'm sure she and Cash can't wait to meet their new addition in a few months and we know at least one other person in Hollywood is counting down the weeks too.

First Look: The Eye

This creepy wordless teaser trailer for the remake of Asian horror movie The Eye finds Jessica Alba playing a blind woman who gets her vision back.

This creepy wordless teaser trailer for the remake of Asian horror movie The Eye finds Jessica Alba playing a blind woman who gets her vision back. However, with her newfound sight she has also acquired the ability to see horrible supernatural things. The teaser makes the movie seem pretty scary, though utilizing quick edits, flashing creepy things and making the entire thing without any dialogue at all would probably make a lot of things seem scary. The movie opens February 1, so to take a look at the teaser trailer, read more

Jessica Alba Still Perfecting Her Eye

It feels like just about every movie requires reshoots these days, so I won't jump the gun and say it's a bad sign that Jessica Alba was back on the set of The Eye in Vancouver over the weekend.

It feels like just about every movie requires reshoots these days, so I won't jump the gun and say it's a bad sign that Jessica Alba was back on the set of The Eye in Vancouver over the weekend. Heck, even The Bourne Ultimatum had reshoots up until May. It will still be a while before we get to see Alba's horror movie chops, but before then she's got a chance to show off her range alongside Dane Cook in Good Luck Chuck. I'm not thinking Chuck is going to be winning Jessica any Oscars, but she's still raking in the nominations at all the slightly younger awards shows.

What's Buzzworthy: Most Thrilling Thrillers

With the wave of thrillers out in the movie theaters these days, I made last week's Buzzworthy bookmarking challenge all about past thrillers that have successfully scared you silly — in a good way, of course.

With the wave of thrillers out in the movie theaters these days, I made last week's Buzzworthy bookmarking challenge all about past thrillers that have successfully scared you silly — in a good way, of course. To get you started, I mentioned some of my favorites, like The Usual Suspects and the ever-chilling Psycho. The ones that you bookmarked are equally creepy, so if none of the current thriller options are striking your fancy, here are many more options for a spooky night at home. Keep the lights on when you watch these Buzzworthy picks!

Silence of the Lambs
Chosen by both WhiplashGirlchild and missyosigirl who says, "Creepy Hannibal Lecter played by the great Sir Anthony Hopkins. I can never see Anthony Hopkins as anybody else except as Hannibal Lecter because of this movie!!!"

The Eye
Bookmarked by JessNess who calls it: "Very creepy!! Even though everything is in subtitles it really is a must see. I'm curious about the remake they are doing with Jessica Alba....I'm sorry but the original is the best."

Can Jessica Change Her Image With The Eye?

I tend to think of Jessica Alba as one of those actresses who's just famous for being hot.

I tend to think of Jessica Alba as one of those actresses who's just famous for being hot. Apparently, Alba knows that and wants to lose the label, starting with her role in The Eye, a remake of a 2002 Hong Kong film. In the thriller, Alba plays a blind violinist who gets a eye transplant that gives her special powers.

Quite a departure from Honey, and from the sound of her recent interview with MTV News, she's relieved to be playing a role that's a bit deeper than her usual fare:

"I totally appreciate the stuff [I usually do]," the "Sin City" stunner said last week on the set of her latest movie. "But you know what? It's a lot more interesting for me to play someone who is blind and a classical violin player than someone who is running around in the rain wearing a white T-shirt."

Tom Cruise

Jessica Alba is Quite an Eyeful

Hard-Working Jessica is busy on the set of her new Tom Cruise film, The Eye.

Hard-Working Jessica is busy on the set of her new Tom Cruise film, The Eye. The supernatural thriller, which is a remake of a popular Hong Kong film "Jian Gui" sounds pretty intense, too. Jessica looks exhausted in these shots yet even with napkins attached to head and no make-up on, she still looks pretty good! Hopefully when she's done filming this movie she'll be able to squeeze in a little vacation with her man Cash.

Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise Gives Jessica Alba The Eye

Jessica Alba is one busy lady these days.

Jessica Alba is one busy lady these days. She has six films in the works including sequels to both Sin City and The Fantastic Four. Now she's caught the attention of Tom Cruise and he's signed her on to star in his new horror flick, The Eye. She reportedly signed a $4 million deal to star in the remake of the Hong Kong film Jian Gui. In the American version she will play a woman who receives an eye transplant that allows her to see into the supernatural world. No word yet on whether Tom will also star, but he has taken lead roles in his past productions including War of the Worlds, Minority Report and all the Mission Impossibles. Sounds pretty promising to us!
