The Number 23

Jim Carrey

Jim and Jenny Take Their Manes Out for Some Eats

Despite his most recent film, The Number 23, getting some of the worst reviews I've maybe ever read, it debuted at #2 at the box office last weekend. Perhaps the movie going public was confused and somehow thought it was a dark The Cable Guy-style comedy (perhaps with a cameo by some fun-loving Wilson/Stiller/Ferrell type?) only to be sorely disappointed when realized that it's not intentionally funny, like at all. Well, whether or not anyone actually enjoyed the film, Jim was happy as ever when leaving dinner with his girl Jenny this week. Perhaps all he needs to be content these days are his lady and his hair.

Movie Preview: The Number 23

In The Number 23, Jim Carrey plays Walter Sparrow, a man obsessed with a book that appears to be about his life, and perhaps, his murder.

In The Number 23, Jim Carrey plays Walter Sparrow, a man obsessed with a book that appears to be about his life, and perhaps, his murder. I wonder if Emma Thompson will narrate, as she did in the other, non-horror movie about a dude living a book, Stranger Than Fiction.

The number 23 actually does have an interesting history in mythology, which I know because I am a "Lost" geek and 23 was featured in last week's episode, so I looked it up.
Anyway, check out the preview for the film — opening on the 23rd of February, of course — and tell me: What do you think about The Number 23? To watch the trailer, read more

Jim and Jenny Take Their Love (and Matching Hair) to the Red Carpet

Jim and Jenny hit the red carpet last night for the premiere of Jim's latest film, The Number 23.

Jim and Jenny hit the red carpet last night for the premiere of Jim's latest film, The Number 23. Jim has been doing quite a bit of promotion for the film, but just can't stop gushing about how much he's into his new girlfriend. He's also excited about spending his first Valentine's Day with the pretty blonde. Here's more:

Asked about plans for their first Valentine's Day together, Carrey said coyly, "It's going to be good!" Before the premiere Carrey told PEOPLE: "I feel really free, wonderful."

The couple skipped The Number 23 afterparty, held at downtown L.A.'s Edison Bar, but McCarthy waited patiently for almost 30 minutes while Carrey signed autographs and took pictures with fans after the screening.

"Is Jenny here?" Carrey said. "I've got to get my girl out."

Carrey's costar, Virginia Madsen, tells PEOPLE of the two, "They're just a great couple. They're both really great people. They go well together."

Ahhhh... so cute! Even down to the matching hair (although Jenny's clearly looked better last night). Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day to J&J. We hope it's a fabulous one! Check out The Number 23 in theaters February 23rd. In the meantime, lots more pics from the red carpet including Christina Applegate, Stacy Keibler, Rosario Dawson and more so read more
