>> The SAG Awards may have provided the lion's share of red-carpet glamour, but a bevy of other occasions offered some of the week's more intriguing style moments. In Sydney, Naomi Watts, Nikki Phillips, and Rachael Taylor rode the season's scuba trend in ensembles tinged with surf-sport details. In Los Angeles, Tilda Swinton hosted the Pomellato boutique opening in an ivory silk pajama look from Lanvin, while Jayma Mays, Emmy Rossum, and Jacqueline Emerson all looked Valentine-chic in coordinating red-and-white prints at an event for Lucky magazine. Those looks — and more — here, in our best-of-the-week slideshow.
Angelina Jolie attended last night's SAG Awards with longtime partner — and nominee — Brad Pitt. The couple were captured showing PDA in lots of sexy shots. Angelina wasn't just about her man, though, since she let loose on the red carpet and got chatty inside during the show. We're taking a look at her most social moments, like when she was deep in conversation with Tilda Swinton, laughed with Zoe Saldana, and posed with Modern Family's young winners — click through to see all of Angelina's friendly visits and make sure to check out all of the SAG Awards pictures!
>> The night's best looks were glamorous, dramatic — and just a bit risky. Early in the evening, Rose Byrne (left) set the bar high in a sparkling, wrap-front Elie Saab jumpsuit from the designer's Fall 2009 collection. "I was really kind of inspired by a bit of Scarface; a bit of '70s," the actress, who was also sporting a brand-new bobbed haircut, explained. See who else shined — and what they wore — here, in our best-of roundup.
Tilda Swinton is always full of surprises; just when you think she'll be wearing experimental couture on the red carpet forever, she shows up in a classic Lanvin gown that looks like something right out of Ava Gardner's closet. With its soft vertical draping and long sleeves, her gown certainly does have a vintage feel, especially paired with an oversized gold cuff and softly waved hair. The red carpet at last night's Golden Globe Awards was filled with stars in their finest looks. Charlize Theron stole the show in a gorgeous Dior gown while Kate Winslet, who picked up the award for best actress in Mildred Pierce, posed in a black and white look by Jenny Packham. Angelina Jolie arrived on the arm of Brad Pitt in a neutral Atelier Versace with a pop of red. Presenter Kate Beckinsale wore Roberto Cavalli for her turn on the carpet with husband Len Wiseman and Fashion Star's Nicole Richie got glamorous in a beaded Julien Macdonald number and a House of Harlow clutch.
Red was a hot color this evening with presenter Reese Witherspoon in a sexy, fitted Zac Posen and George Clooney's girlfriend, Stacy Keibler, in a brightly hued Valentino gown with a bow detail. Natalie Portman went bright in a pink Lanvin after spending the weekend with her family in Santa Monica. The Help's Viola Davis showed leg in Emilio Pucci and Emma Stone broke away from her green streak with a two-tone Lanvin look.
Things took a dark turn with a group of ladies choosing classic black for the big event. Rooney Mara, who was nominated for best actress in The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, continued her run of daring ensembles with a cutout Nina Ricci. Mila Kunis presented the best supporting actor award with Gerard Butler in Dior while Julianne Moore went with a strapless Chanel. One of the evening's winners, Claire Danes, showed skin in a backless J Mendel and presenter Salma Hayek rocked an edgy Gucci as she arrived with husband Francois-Henri Pinault.
There was more color mixing up the carpet with Modern Family's Sofia Vergara in a blue fishtail Vera Wang and Kelly Osbourne in a Zac Posen gown of the same hue. My Week With Marilyn winner Michelle Williams accepted her statue in a velvety Jason Wu while Melissa McCarthy took her turn in front of the cameras in a green Badgley Mischka and Evan Rachel Wood wowed in a Gucci Premiere halter.

Charlize Theron rubbed shoulders with fellow nominees inside last night's InStyle party following the Golden Globes. She was a best actress in a drama nominee for Young Adult, though the honor ended up going to The Iron Lady's Meryl Streep. Nonetheless, Charlize was in the mood to celebrate with her fellow best actress contender, The Help's Viola Davis. Leonardo DiCaprio also turned out on the special evening. He was up for best actor in a drama for J. Edgar, and that distinction would end up going to the hilarious The Descendants star George Clooney. Other stars let loose at the magazine's event with editor Ariel Foxman. Sofia Vergara toasted Modern Family's best TV comedy win with her pal Diddy, after they spent New Year's Eve together in Miami. Kate Beckinsale made the rounds, too, as did Jessica Chastain, Heidi Klum, and more!
You can count on Tilda Swinton to keep things interesting on the red carpet, and this light blue menswear-inspired gown is the perfect example. But perhaps the most unexpected feature of Tilda's whole look is her tousled pompadour, which she pairs with raspberry-hued lipstick and golden eye shadow. It's an eclectic style, no doubt, but are you glad she took the risks?Vote on all of our Golden Globe Awards polls here!
