Tom Says He's Excited About the Baby

Tom's camp has finally spoken up about his upcoming baby with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan. His agent, Don Yee, said on Tuesday, "Tom and his family are excited about the pregnancy, and want to thank everyone who has shown support, and particularly for their consideration of Tom's privacy." Considering the rumors that Tom left Bridget after finding out she was pregnant, this statement may not have been his first reaction to the baby news, but obviously he has come around. Regardless of what happened with the end of their relationship, it sounds like he's going to do the right thing and be involved in his baby's life. Luckily Gisele doesn't seem fazed by any of this and the two are still lovin' it up in Paris!

I think their relationship was petering out and in a last ditch effort to snag another Irish Catholic, BM "forgot" to take a pill. I'm telling you, she heard her clock ticking and he wasn't ready to get married. She's like 7 years older than him and he obviously thinks he still has oats to sow. He's not stupid ... he probably thought she was protected.

I'm sorry, but am I the only one who thinks it's tacky that Gisele and Tom are dating so soon after he got Bridget pregnant? I'm sure the only reason he made that statement was so that he wouldn't look ike a "bad guy" for leaving his pregnant girlfriend.

so on the radio this morning the story was that bridget waited until the last minute to spring it on tom that she was going to make the announcement about her pregnancy. they also said that gisele was PISSED and hadn't known before. One of the dj's laughed and said "keepin it gang-sta!" the whole "tom is thrilled and his family is thrilles" part is laughable. come on folks, raise your hands if you and your family would be thrilled with this situation? a baby with the person you just broke it off with; SO NOW YOU WILL BE FOREVER TIED TO THEM!!!! oh yea, just thrilled."heh-hu-ha-hu-heh-he-ha-hu; that's the woody wood pecker song"

Let's hope things work out for Bridget. Being single while pregnant is going to be tough not to mention being a parent. Hopefully she will find someone like Heidi Klum did. Thank goodness she has financial resources too. Some moms don't even have that.

I do not think anyone is wrong here. If I were Bridget, seeing Tom parading all over town with Gisele may make my blood boil. Being pregnant is not easy, especially without the comfort of a man, but I guess I would rather someone not be with me just for a child, you always have to watch your back. My best friend had a situation IDENTICAL to this one, and the ex girlfriend got herself pregnant to keep the man, he eventually left her after the baby was born, and married my friend. It was a sticky situation, and my friend feels bad, but the baby's momma tries to make their lives MISERABLE! He is a good dad however, he does his part bigtime.

Ok one more comment...I think I'm way to caught up in this story :) This is why I think there was a little funny business on Bridget's part. You would assume they had an active sexual relationship throughout their time together. Whenever their last intimate relationship was you would think that it happened the same way it did every other time. Meaning if they never used a condom because she was on the pill or some form of birth control then it would be perfectly logical for them not to use a condom. As a huge Tom Brady fan, it pains me to think he would be dumb enough to have unprotected sex with his girlfriend who seemed to be in charge of the contraceptives and that tells everyone in the free world that she wants to get married and have kids, but it looks like that was the case. I know condoms can break and nothing is 100% but again...the timing is too strange. I think Tom is doing the right thing by acknowledging her announcement, but when that kid is born I bet they will have a paternity test.

Well of course he's going to say that...it would have been really bad for him to say "I hate kids, can't believe she got pregnant, and I will have nothing to do with this baby other than writing a huge check each month." You have to wonder though if Bridget threw her own 'Hail-Mary' pass in trying to keep the relationship going. Come on, are there any true accidents?

whether it was: "I'm pregnant" she said "Have an abortion" he said "No, I am having this baby. I love you. I love the baby. We were together for three years. I'm not going to do something I don't beleive in" she said. "Great. I will be in Europe screwing my new hopefully barren better looking girlfriend" the asshole said. Or not..it still sucks for BM, TB and GB. Though I tend to feel less sympathy for Gisele.

Situations like these do happen. And I hope for the baby's sake, all of this stuff gets worked out. I guess the weirdness stems from the way in which it was announced. The timing, the fact that it's not a joint statement, that it's coincidental to the release of her movies, that he's "seemingly so easily" moved on with Gisele, heck even the wording of the annoucement. Isn't that what's got all of this speculation going? Why make it such an immediate she said/he said in the first place ... ?

I don't know. I mean, these things really do happen. She will obviously start showing soon so why not get all the hoopla over with now? They will make it work somehow

I know there are 2 sides to every story but it's weird that she gets pregnant from break-up sex. I wonder if she was trying to get him to marry her and it backfired. Believe it or not I know women who still play these games. She probably figured "hey, I'm 35 ... he has good genes .... what the hell." Women do stupid things for men and babies.

Bridgett knew just what she was doing. She knew he was gonna leave her so she got off whatever birth control she was on and got pregnant. yeah I know he had to have had sex with her to get to pregnant and all that but I think he was mislead.

I think Bridgy knew EXACTLY what she was doing!But in all seriousness they both share the responsibility of being stupid enough to have unprotected sex, but like I said before...announcing your pregnancy when you weren't even showing via the NY Post, making sure you had in the statement Tom Brady is the father, announcing it when you have a few movies coming out.... just a little weird to me.

Or maybe they were on a break and she stopped with birth control and they got back together for a night or had goodbye sex. Of course you never really think this kind of stuff happens by accident. But it does.Worst case scenario, she stopped taking birth control to try to get pregnant to try to keep him. Well, look how well that turned out for her...she's going to be a single mom while he's boinking a vicky's secret model in Paris.Alternate worst case scenario, he dumped her because she was pregnant. He's going to be isolated from his own child and considered a "lesser man" by his devoutly catholic father. It's sort of a crappy situation for both of them and I am sorry I just seriously doubt there's much to it. I think they are humans who made a mistake. It happens. And besides you don't hear much about either of them being sketchy or doing drugs or being part of a crazy scene. I think they seem pretty normal and highly unlikely to pull this kind of crap.
