Is escorting your wife and her friend to a restaurant, helping them out of the car, walking them up to the door and then jetting back to your limo totally sweet or a little overbearing PR stunt creepy? Well, just ask Tom Cruise, who chose to sit out a dinner at the Ivy while Katie and Posh enjoyed the publicity, I mean food.

He probably doesn't want posh to be a positive influence (or from his perspective a negative one) She's got hear head on relatively straight and has resisted scientology this far. Maybe he wants to make sure they don't have any conversations in which Katie realizes what a huge mistake she's made.

NOT a Cruise fan, but I think it's sweet. My husband always opens my door for me and helps me out as well - and not because I'm some delicate flower who can't open the damned thing for myself. He's a gentleman who does this for all the women who are passengers in our vehicle. I'm beginning to feel sorry for Cruise. Like some people said above. He can't win. He's slammed no matter what he does.

I think that Britney and Paris and Lindsay could learn a lot from Posh--like how a lady gets out of the car in a very short skirt without exposing her hoo ha, pantyless or not.

Megg--I don't personally think they are really married. Evidently you can have a confidential license but GMD puts EVERYTHING in the press so I think if there was one, it would be out.
