Though she's new to film, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has the red-carpet skills of a seasoned pro. The English model-turned-actress may be best known for her sultry turns down the Victoria's Secret catwalk, but with Transformers: Dark of the Moon now under her belt, we can only expect to see more of the 24-year-old head-turner. Red-carpet weapons include gorgeous, curve-hugging gowns; Burberry, Versace, and Michael Kors are favorites. Of course, the deal clincher for us may just have been the sheer Gucci we caught her in at last week's premiere. She seems to have mastered the art of balancing glamour and sophistication, which isn't always a sure thing. Click through to see Rosie's standout red-carpet moments, aka a how-to in knocking 'em dead every time.

Shia LaBeouf and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Make a Red-Hot Costar Couple at the NYC Transformers Premiere
Shia LaBeouf and his Transformers: Dark of the Moon costar Rosie Huntington-Whiteley posed together at the premiere of their action film in NYC tonight. They're finally debuting the project stateside after showing off the movie in Russia and Germany over the last week. Shia's been making the press rounds since returning to the Big Apple and he stopped by The Late Show With David Letterman yesterday, though it was Shia LaBeouf's interview in Details that turned heads. Shia told the magazine he hooked up with his previous leading lady Megan Fox and even shared his thoughts about ex, Carey Mulligan. Shia may be grabbing attention with his recent quotes, but if the Transformers: Dark of the Moon reviews are any indication, his action flick will soon be in the spotlight.
Shia LaBeouf and the Transformers Cast Kick Off Their Premieres in Russia
Shia LaBeouf and his costars Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Tyrese Gibson, Patrick Dempsey, and Josh Duhamel joined director Michael Bay in Moscow today for an early morning photo call followed by the Transformers: Dark of the Moon world premiere. The men suited up for their international debut, while Rosie stepped out in sheer skirt and gold top for the green carpet after changing out of the vivid Michael Kors gown she wore earlier in the day. Patrick and Rosie are newcomers to the action franchise, with Rosie replacing Megan Fox as Shia's onscreen love interest. In real life Shia's been kicking it with Karolyn Pho, after splitting with Carey Mulligan late last year. Josh may be overseas for work obligations but he's keeping the people of his hometown of Minot, ND, in his thoughts, tweeting them messages and well wishes after the town was recently hit with devastating floods.

Megan Fox Not Sexy and Nurturing Enough For Transformers Role, Says Shia LaBeouf

Star of the Transformers trilogy Shia LaBeouf says Megan Fox was too into "woman-empowerment" stuff to fit Michael Bay's movie-making style, specifically, that his films appeal to a "16-year-old sexuality." So, says LaBeouf, the director chose Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to take over the film's love interest role because she was willing to show some skin while also providing LaBeouf's character with her nurturing, maternal instincts. Apparently Megan also being a sexy underwear model wasn't enough, since Shia adds that Bay wanted a "domestic, eggs-in-the-morning" style over Fox's "cold biker chick" character.
I'll take this with a grain of salt since it's LaBeouf, not Bay, making the comments. But there are a lot of interesting takeaways from these little nuggets. Namely, that "sexiest woman alive" Megan Fox wasn't game for reprising the standard boobs-out action movie love interest role that made her famous, and that Bay was essentially looking for a Stepford wife character in the flick. What do you make of all this?
