Angelina Jolie's Ready to Explain Her Former Wild Ways to the Kids

Angelina Jolie's work with the UN, in addition to making In the Land of Blood and Honey, has exposed her to tough subjects like war, and she spoke with Anderson Cooper about explaining violence to her kids. Another challenge she realizes is coming around the bend is talking to her six little ones about her own past wild ways — including wearing a vial of blood around her neck! Of her own out-there behavior, she said, "I know it's going to come back at me very soon with my children." See what Angelina said to Anderson with a laugh.

Why would Zahara speak Aramaic or Swahili? Its Amharic. You're so ignorant. And Angelina has said herself that its not something Zahara is currently learning.

Hannah - Brad and Angie had Z before Shiloh so don't think it will be too difficult to explain to them he was long separated from JA and working out the details- don't worry your pretty little head about. Somehow I think this family of eight will be just fine but sweet of you to be so concerned for the kids.

I guess Maddox' tutor since he's 3 years old and the Vietnamese national that teaches all the Jolie-Pitt kids and is also fluent in French & English doesn't count eh? How do you know Zahara isn't taught Aramaic and Swahili burk dear? And WTF was so special about being called Tena Adams? Do you think Zahara remembers that? If she does I think it would trouble her more to realize she was dying of salmonella and diarrhea because her family couldn't keep her and took her to a court and swore she was without parents.

I think having two parents and 5 siblings is a whole better alternative than living and dying in an orphanage. Brad and Jen split or he left her - whatever it was - in Jan and Shiloh was born in may 17 months later I think Shiloh will understand - unlike you maniston freaks Shiloh will care less about aniston. People fall in love, people break up most rational adults can deal with it.

She used to do drugs, its her life. If she chooses to harm her health she has the right to tbh. The question is how is she gonna explain to the kiddies why she stripped them of their names and understanding of their native languages. (ex. Zahara)

I think people misconstrue her quite often in interviews as uninterested or disengaged. The reality though is that many of those interviewers (i.e. ET, Extra, etc.) often ask her very arbitrary, meaningless questions. From what I have seen she is usually very nice to answer them and never holds back (given the nature of the shows). But when they're asking her, "What do you and Brad do in your alone time?" the reality is she's not going to answer "Oh great question! We get it on of course!" Having someone like Anderson ask her meaningful questions about her children's cultures, war and humanitarian efforts often elicits an answer that is more attune to her nature. Thus it provokes more enlightening, descriptive and revealing insights indicative of who she really is. She had a weird period, if you will, during her time with Billy Bob. Certainly the events that transpired in the years that followed were not predicted nor by mass opinion respected, but she has managed to show through her goodwill efforts that her focus is not to draw attention to herself nor her family. Rather, it's to shine light and aid the public in learning about struggling third-world countries and how we can help them--if even in the smallest measure. I should think that by any standard that should encourage others to not only understand and admit her past (as she has candidly done so herself numerous times), but more importantly apply that towards creating a more giving and peaceful world. She's been castigated quite enough, and often unjustly. We should look at her philanthropic efforts as a measure of her character--not scandalous tabloid stories that are often driven by a canard.

Don't forget to explain, how you were pregnant for Shiloh before Brad was even divorced, and the whole affair. Explain it all without flowers.

It was a great interview. Don't think it will be a problem. Most celebs have done dumb things but she has done so much good. Time will tell but she loves her kids, her life and it shows.
