Why would Jermaine wish it was him instead of Michael??? Jermaine has TEN children (that's right TEN!). I like Michael but I wouldn't wish it was some other person dead instead of him just because he's singer, dancer, pop legend, etc. I would just as upset for Jermaine's kids as I am for Michael's kids.

@Frank, I dont think that he was wishing it were him on account that he was a singer. He was speaking in grief over the sudden and tragic loss of his baby brother, just a testimony to the love he had and apparently the protective nature of his relationsship which is quite understandable... a very normal and frankly human sentiment in sudden death.....nothing controversial.

I agree with isis, it must be hard to lose your little brother whom he obviously adored, so sad!

Jermaine talks like he can't keep one thought going very long before he jumps to something completely different. It was actually kind of embarrassing...he would be one second talking about how strong MJ was mentally, then in the next breathe he said how fragile he was because of all the stress brought on by other people. He kept talking about LOVE this, LOVE that. He even wanted to blame the LOVE MJ had for other people who let him down, as a reason that MJ might have turned to drugs if the toxology tests came back and showed that MJ had OD'd on them. Jermaine had always ALWAYS covered up for Michael. Even to the point of SWEARING that MJ had NEVER had plastic surgery. WHICH by the way, JERMAINE looks like he might be having too much of himself. His hair line looks strange and his face in general just looks strange. NONE of the Jacksons ever said anything negative about MJ except Latoya. She was the only one who was truthful at anytime during MJ's life.

I believe Jermaine was blaming the people that believed all the bs about the molestation trial and made his life miserable not his true fans. Some people were really mean and I imagine that was pretty stressful and could of led to his drug use, that is if he did use drugs, but I don't think he was blaming his fans at all.

Jermaine and Michael were always close.In MJs autobiography he says that he looked up to Jermaine and was heartbroken when Jermaine left The Jackson 5 and randy took his place.

I met Jermaine back in 1973-1974 at the Illinois State Fair, We talked and were friends ,People talk and did not know them. Michael was so young back then and Jermanine and Michael have always been close. People talk no matter what, But Michael was wonderful kid, people always judge, but they did not the real Michael, the only thing he was quilty of is loving music, and trying to get everyones love, and giving to children things , he missed out on as kid. He needed support and Love from us, not critsizim. Everyone judge so easily, but honestly no one knows how it was too be in Michael's situation.
not saying i do, but until you go through what he went through you shouldn't be judging his life styles.
And about the plastic surgery who cares? It's no ones business. If that's how he or anyone wants too live there life then why not. How does it hurt anyone? It's pretty sad how people talk so poorly about him even when he is gone.
