Hi, I'm Shannon Vestal and in Watch, Pass, or Rent we're looking at Wanderlust. Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd play a married couple who live their life in Manhattan to adopt a free-spirited lifestyle on a hippie copy. Let's get the hell out of here. Alright, I can't be in this car anymore. Colosseum Bed and Breakfast. Colosseum B & B, another half mile, we can't miss it. I actually had a really high hopes for this movie because Paul Rudd is always so cute and funny. Jennifer Aniston is always so charming. And I really like the comedy of the director, David Wayne, but the plot is so thin it feels more like a Saturday Night Live skit and there's just not enough to sustain a feature-length film. George, I hear Eva asked to intercourse with you. What? The premise is very funny because Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston's characters, George and Linda, are very uptight and it's fun to see them try to adapt to this free-spirited lifestyle. The problem is, even though there's a lot of jokes to be made, once the movie gets them to the hippie commune, it doesn't really know what to do with him, and seems to really give up on any idea of a compelling story line. That said, there are some laughs laugh out loud moments and some really fun lines. My name's Wayne, by the way. I'm a nudist. Ah yes, we noticed your penis earlier. Paul Rudd is always amazing and he had me cracking up in every scene he was plus there are a lot of supporting characters who kill it, like Justin Theroux and Kathryn Hahn, but there are also so many jokes that you see thing from a mile away, especially with the nudity, but the humor just comes off as really inconsistent. This movie has a great cast, but their talents are you never get invested in any of the characters, and because the movie is so directionless, it ends up feeling a lot longer than it is. So I have to give it a pass.
