the runaways are pioneers for women's rock, but they still fucking suck, women or not their music isnt good, but because they were the pioneers of womens rock...its cool to like them. i have no interest in this movie, just like i had no interest in the band itself.

While I can't say I'm a huge fan of the Runaways (don't dislike them, but they aren't someone I have on my Ipod either), I am excited to see the movie because of Kristen...........I totally love that girl and will watch anything she is in! I'm sure she'll rock!

looking forward to this movie! :) love the runaways. i know the girls wont sound exactly the same but im all about seeing the film before i start ragging on there acting or singing chops. just my opinion but hey every is entitled to there own :) good or bad.

i think it's kinda weird and selfish to have KS get that ugly haircut to prove her commitment. joan jett should be honored that Hollywood's brightest star would portray she in a movie. most young ppl today have no idea who joan jett is. plus the runways were more popular in japan and Canada than the US in their heydays.

Anon #1, they had more than one hit and Joan Jett went off to have many hits after The Runaways. The Runaways are considered pioneers in women's rock. Check your facts before commenting. I'm pretty excited for this movie :) I had reservations at first, but the few reviews that are out there seem to be pretty good and Joan Jett stayed on set during filming.

First off, Joan Jett had at least 6 Top 40 hits as well as a number 1 album. The runaways are considered forerunners of a movement that led to women being taken more seriously in rock. From what I know of Joan (which apparently is a lot more than the first two posters) I seriously doubt she is on drugs. She is a vegan for gods sake. I am looking forward to this movie. To the first poster that only wants to see movies with groups that have had "hits" the Jonas Brothers and Miley have some movies out for you (check the disney channel).

Oy, please do away with anon's! I love The Runaways, and they had many hits in Japan! The girls do a great job of 'impersonating' Cherie and Joan. LOVE IT and can't wait to see the movie!

Jeez you think we could actually hear them singing without your annoying reporter voice over? You even talked about what Joan Jett said while she was saying it instead of letting her say it. Change the headline because we didn't get to watch anything, I couldn't even hear their voices singing.
