When It Comes to the Hair, Ryder Gets to Call the Shots

Kate Hudson stopped by Ellen yesterday to chat about and promote her short film, Cutlass but of course she couldn't help gushing about Ryder just a little.

She talked about how Ryder cracks her up and how he thinks the "posparazzi" are going to end the world. Kate also explained what we've been dying to know - why she doesn't cut that hair? As expected, he wants to keep it long like his Daddy's which is cute but apparently he was ready to cut it off if he could get a mohawk so Kate decided maybe the hair cut could wait for now. We're thinking Ryder and Maddox Jolie-Pitt should have a playdate.

I think it's fine that she's letting him keep his hair long because he wants to. Sure, he's 4, but so what? It's OK that he has an opinion and she lets him know that his opinion matters. He didn't tell her he wants to smoke crack. Lighten up.

He's 3 almost 4. Why is he already running the show? She should have cut that hair long ago-before he had an opinion. Can you imagine what he'll look like as a teenager? His dad is out of control homely. She needs to be a mom and let him know whose in charge. Oh,,,, my little 4 year old doesn't want his hair cut, I guess that's fine. Spoiled!

Posparazzi - that is SO cute! I think it's cool that she let's him decide how to wear his hair. I also think it's cool that he wants it to be just like Dad.

Let the kid have a mohawk...its just hair and it grows back. If my boys ask for one, i would let them....its kinda cute anyway. Better than the long girly-hair. ;)

i bet he misses his dad very much since Kate divorced him. that's just really sad when parents divorced and kids are affected with it. im just glad that his dad has some influence on him even though his parents divorced.
