Which Avril Do You Like Best?

Avril has been working on changing up her image over the past year. She's gone from punk to chic, is a newlywed and may be settling down a bit. Now we see her back to punk in her pink pants out in LA. Which do you prefer... punk Avril or chic Avril?

Avril is still the same person. She is a really talented Singer (especially Live), Songwriter and the most beautiful woman in the world.

i dont think its to anyone to judge what others do. be more preoccupied with your own life and let other people do whatever or dress however the f*ck they want

JessNess and all the other haters- Sure, her style of punk is different than other peoples', but that's because her punk is kind of emo and scene-ish. Not totally but kind of. Basically, that means that her style is what SHE wants to wear, not what YOU think she should wear. Just because her style of punk seems poser-ish to you, doesn't mean she's trying to hard. She just wants to put her own style out there and be herself. Don't hate on someone just because they've got more guts than other people and don't care what people say about the way they dress. She just wants to live her life and be who she wants to be- just leave her alone and let her be herself.

when avril's all elegant and proper it pisses me off. i LOVE LOVE LOVE her punk sytle. that's the main reason i started listening to her music..but then I heard it, and so i was hooked. anyway, she's totally a role model to all the little girls whose mothers wanted them to be sweet, nice cheerleaders when all they want is to piss people off and make a scene.

Oh and JessNess, Avril did two of the three things you said when she was around 17: the spitting on photographers was an isolated incident that haters cling on to. I don't see why people are so quick to loathe her for one particular incident when they're so willing to exonerate someone like LL for years and years of bad behavior.

I always forget she exists until she's in the news for spitting on someone. Why do people still care about her? Does she even make music anymore? She's a pretty girl when she's cleaned up, I guess. I'm not a big fan of her "punk" look.

Hmmm, she said she was punk once or twice on a radio station and people just pounced on that. The only reason why I ever give her credit was that she and her songs became popular right when the public was living on a steady diet of scantily clad singers (Britney, Christina, Jessica, ring a bell?) and she didn't send a message to little girls that it was alright to writhe and grind half-naked on a stage. She may be into bad behavior now but she does have her good moments (she's actively involved with multiple charities) and honestly, the punk/poseur excuse went out a long time ago (just like y'all are saying how some of us should get over AJ/BP/JA). I don't think it's fair to judge a person's character based on their clothes and to pin them down in one category. And she's not "mad at the world" all the time, ya know, she smiles once in a while.

I like that she goes back and forth from punk to chic. It's fun changing your style, and it can make you feel like a different person sometimes. If you can go from dressing like a punk, looking cute, to dressing chic, looking beautiful, why not take advantage of that?

these are 2 totally different looks, one she is just chillin at nite and the other one she is walking the red carpet, how can you compare the 2? you cant... "stay far from timid, only make moves when your hearts in it and live the phrase sky's the limit."
