Why Did Brad and Angelina Skip Oscar Night?

Many of you were asking in the live chat where Brad and Angie were last night. Turns out Angelina had more important good deeds to do. Angie skipped the show to hang out in Africa on behalf of the United Nations to monitor the crisis in Darfur. Brad evidently stayed home with the kids. He didn't miss much, though. After all the hype, Babel ended up up with only one Oscar for the night and that was for best score! OK seriously, how cute are those kids. Love the Shiloh sighting. Could this day be any more exciting! Just wait to see what else is in store!

i NEVER thought she was being rude to ryan...in fact I thought he was being an @ss for making the whole thing about her and the kids....it was Brad's night...Brad's movie...Brad's job... OBVIOUSLY...seahag thought he could get an "exclusive"...if anything Angelina was pretty decent...i would have called him names or pointed out his stupid questions.... LOVE THEM!!!!

I don't see why people can't be fans of both Angie AND Jennifer. I would say I'm a pretty big Angelina and Brad fan, but I definitley enjoy Jennifer's work on Friends, which is/was one of my favorite television shows (along with Family Guy).Discuss Jennifer stuff on a Jennifer board. Why can't we just all enjoy these really cute family photos?And whoever said that Maddox and Zahara weren't cute really needs to rethink that comment...

I don't see why people can't be fans of both Angie AND Jennifer. Popsugar...........agreeing to disagree seems to only be ever aimed at those doing the defending. I get what you're saying, and I CAN comply with your wishes, but it's still unfair that those doing the baiting can continue to bait, but those who rebut them are the ones who have to shut down or fear getting spanked.

I think Brad And Angie have a Beautiful Family, Shiloh is So Beautiful, a definite mix of Mom & Dad. I don't think Angie has had a chip on her shoulder, I think the Trauma of losing her Mother and having to mourn in public would be difficult for anyone. They look Happy in these pics Brad is gorgeous and definitely a proud Papa and Angie is as Beautiful as ever.

Gosh, I'm so happy to hear that this was the reason they were not there! I was worried about Angie being depressed..... :( How cute, Brad at home with the kids!! I love this family! :D But still, I missed seeing them all dressed up in the red carpet!

I would skip too. They seem to be having a good time in NOLA, not getting their pictures taken too much and being left alone. I don't see why they would go on the red carpet to answer invasive questions about Angelina's mother and have everyone pick apart Angelina's actions and her mood. If she didn't smile for a second, people would talk about her. I'm sure if Brad wanted to go he could have gone. As for Ryan Seacrest, you'd be hard pressed to find a star who hasn't been "rude" to him along the way. Again, people just pick apart Angelina. Who needs it? Stay at home or go help the world is a better option to me. The kids are adorable though.
