Sandra Bullock announced the end of her marriage to Jesse James this morning with a sensational cover story in People magazine, in which she revealed both her intention to divorce as well as her adoption of son Louis Bardo Bullock. Jesse also shared his thoughts in a carefully worded statement, his second public comment after addressing his alleged infidelity shortly after the scandal broke. Sandra stayed largely quiet except for quickly addressing rumors of a sex tape, so her lengthy interview today was a huge surprise. She appears to have found light in her life with baby Louis, but tell us what you think — are you glad Sandra Bullock spoke out?

There was so much gossip & speculation that finally speaking out after 6 or more l weeks was a smart thing to do. Yes, People Mag is a tabloid, but probably the best/least sleazy of the genre. Giving them an interview when she;s ready to blow town is smart. Not so many paps in the Big Easy & there Sandra can probably take her child out for a stroll in the 'hood without being chased & quizzed. Good for her! She's getting distance from her ex & his cronies while she recuperates from a horribly nasty shock & betrayal. Sandra can grieve & heal privately & enjoy her baby. When she's ready to go back to work, she'll do that too. Go Sandra and Best Wishes!

I will never understand if you want soooo much privacy, why do you give these tabloids (yes People is a tab) front page stories when they help fuel the drama in your life? I don't care what anybody says, these celebs can't live without attention. Those who can...we never hear from. I was feeling sorry for her and him at first, but the fact that they feel the need to comment on their personal lives while hypocritically asking for privacy, makes me care less. And let me also say, there were one of the few celeb couples that I liked seeing at award shows or on blogs bc they seemed to stay out of the spotlight and out of our faces most of the time.

Wasn't it People that broke out the story of Jesse cheating? After all the embarassment that magazine caused her..why is she giving them personal info? Regardless I dont think she owes any explanations so no, i don't care that she spoke out.

Her adoption plans were 4 years in the making....all of a sudden this is some kind of publicity stunt? Please! I'm sure it was difficult for her to bite her tongue this long....good for her for speaking out.

You people can't be this thick!!! It's a publicity stunt goddamnit!! After the press revealed that her soon to be ex-husband is a white-supremacist, suddenly she comes out with an adopted black baby!!??? And we're suppose to be cheering for her?? OOOH YEAH!! I'm glad that she handled the situation when she felt ready. She is a strong woman and showed her integrity and grace at a humiliating and highly personal time. I wish all the happiness for her and her new baby.

She talked about it with grace and dignity and in the way that doesn't give anything for those of them to ..... about.She is really smart. Because of that she come out as a woman who is actually is moving on .Good luck to her. I am sure other people learn from her.

I think Sandy's a great example of how to handle a horrible situation in a mature and dignified manner. And all the celebrity whining that goes on about privacy invasion is just that...whining. She wanted to stay out of the limelight through-out all this, and she did. She's broken the story her way and when she was ready. I wish her and her beautiful new son all the happiness in the world.

I think that it is best for her to speak out. She took the time to proses the whole situation, and now it is time to move on and get it over with. Unfortunately, when you are in the public eye you have to talk to the media( otherwise they would not leave you a lone). I think that she handle the whole situation very greasily.

YES! i think that she handled this in her own way and i'm really pleased in what she has to say now and how she's doing it. i wish her the best and i think that we all know that she'll make a GREAT mom.
