Are You Happy About This Year's American Idol Winner?

Another season of American Idol has come to an end, and David Cook was crowned as an Idol. Our favorite parts of the show were Seal, sassy Carrie Underwood, Ben Stiller/Jack Black/Robert Downey Jr. singing backup, and of course the special guest appearance by George Michael! As for the winner, we were pulling for Cook but tell us — are you happy about the new American Idol?

I absolutely loved his performance of Billy Jean, he's amazing! There were a few good people this year, but ONLY a few. The rest of the people weren't that good at all this year! Maybe American Idol has already found all the undiscovered singers in America, because I thought it was really slim pickings this go round. There's other people I would have also thought would make good American Idols, but I'm happy for David.

This is the first season of American Idol that I actually watched from beginning to end. And I'm glad it was worth it because I really wanted David Cook to win! Yay!

Being in another country I can't vote, but my mother having religiously followed American Idol (even if it was a bit boring this year) I've had my favourites. I definitely wanted Cook to win over Archuleta but my mom rooting for Archuleta made me think that the little cute boy would win. It came as a happy shock when David Cook's name was announced, of course my mom wasn't as pleased.

I've never seen a single episode. I usually only watch the last 10 minutes of every finale.

This season wasn't doing anything for me at all but I got into it the last few weeks. I am happy that Cook won. He deserved it and he seems capable of handling what's to come. David Archuleta doesn't seem as ready as Jordin Sparks was last year. She seemed ready and capable and not to mention, looked the part, but Archie looks like he's 13 years old. PLUS: his ballads were getting annoying. I felt like I was listening to the same song everyweek

I would have been happy with either, but I've been an Archuleta fan from the very beginning. I'm a big David Cook fan as well and he deserves it.

I was so freaking excited when George Michael came out! Best part of the show, IMHO, though I was disappointed by his voice. Guess he had a cold? Anyway, glad David Cook was the winner. Seems like a good guy, and made for the current music scene.

hey i am glad d.cook won i was going for him, for the past 10weeks maybe, i have an eye for a star and i my even go out and buy his album wben it drops... d.a i knew wasnt going to make it.........(loss by 12million votes...........

I liked both the davids...so im ok with the outcome ...but I think most of the contestants from the top 12 will make it in the music industry....all of them had talent ...and I love Cristy Lee Cook's body and her style (not in the weirdo kind of way)...she had mentioned that she was the athletic kind.........anyways ....wishing them all luck :)
