Hillary Clinton's Guide to Life

Last night, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton cracked up the crowd at the CFDA Awards when she jokingly pitched her own reality show to Bravo's Andy Cohen, suggesting the title Project Pantsuit.

Last night, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton cracked up the crowd at the CFDA Awards when she jokingly pitched her own reality show to Bravo's Andy Cohen, suggesting the title Project Pantsuit. Along with last night's quip, Hillary has had more than a few memorable quotes since coming on the national scene in 1992 as the successful and outspoken wife of then presidential candidate Bill Clinton. She has had her ups — like her husband's two election wins, serving in the Senate herself, and now enjoying national and international popularity as the country's top diplomat — and downs, which include a failed attempt to champion universal health care as first lady, the humiliating Monica Lewinsky affair, and her unsuccessful run for president. Thanks to both the highs and lows, she is a resilient national figure, and it's hard not to respect her, even if you don't agree with her politics. Let's look at the advice she's given on topics like marriage, accepting criticism, facing failure, and standing up for what you believe in.

Bradley Cooper Goes to Washington For Mental Health

Bradley Cooper paid a visit to Washington DC today for the White House Mental Health Conference.

Bradley Cooper paid a visit to Washington DC today for the White House Mental Health Conference. Bradley sported a fresh haircut in the East Room, where he listened to President Obama deliver his opening remarks. In them, the president said, "We all know somebody — a family member, a friend, a neighbor — who has struggled or will struggle with mental health issues at some point in their lives," and he explained that the conference would focus on reducing the stigma associated with mental illness and encouraging more people to reach out for assistance.

As the star of last year's Silver Linings Playbook, Bradley helped increase awareness about bipolar disorder. Today, he and mental-health advocate Glenn Close brought some star power to the conference that featured experts and psychologists. The DC trip comes after Bradley's world travels to promote The Hangover Part III, which included a chance to let loose on the beach in Rio. But today Bradley traded his bathing suit for a dapper gray suit. See photos of Bradley at today's conference now.

Michael Douglas's Statements on Throat Cancer — Refreshingly Honest or TMI?

Michael Douglas grabbed headlines Sunday for apparently disclosing that oral sex caused his cancer.

Michael Douglas grabbed headlines Sunday for apparently disclosing that oral sex caused his cancer. The actor, who beat stage-four throat cancer last year, said HPV, and not years of smoking, led to the disease. "Without wanting to get too specific, this particular cancer is caused by HPV," he explained, "which actually comes about from cunnilingus." According to The Guardian's article, Michael also admitted that he worried the stress from his son's incarceration triggered the cancer, but in the end it was a "sexually transmitted disease that causes cancer." He also added, "And if you have it, cunnilingus is also the best cure for it."

On Monday morning, Michael Douglas's rep walked back the comments a bit, with a statement that read, "Michael Douglas did not say cunnilingus was the cause of his cancer. It was discussed that oral sex is a suspected cause of certain oral cancers." In response, The Guardian released audio and the transcript of the interview, which supports its original article. Either way, the story got people talking about HPV. According to research cited by the Centers For Disease Control, 60 percent of cancer in the back of the throat is caused by HPV. By opening up, Michael could raise awareness about the risk and further the conversation about the vaccine and other forms of prevention. But do you think he should have kept the details of his sexual health to himself? Weigh in below.

Julianne Moore, Rosie Perez, and More Sport Fedoras For Immigration Fairness

Stars like Julianne Moore, Christy Turlington Burns, and Rosie Perez have joined up for the Fedoras for Fairness campaign, aiming to raise awareness about immigration reform, especially among women.

Stars like Julianne Moore, Christy Turlington Burns, and Rosie Perez have joined up for the Fedoras for Fairness campaign, aiming to raise awareness about immigration reform, especially among women. The socially active celebrities are using their own family stories to get the message out. For example, Julianne's mother immigrated to the United States from Scotland in 1950, when she was 10 years old, while Christy shared that her mother was 8 years old when she immigrated to LA from El Salvador. By asking everyday people to take photos of friends and family wearing a fedora with the hashtag #fairdora, the campaign hopes to build momentum as Congress prepares to take up the comprehensive immigration reform.

The campaign, which frames immigration as a women's issue, says it's using the fedora as a metaphor for the many hats that women wear. And it is focusing specifically on the plight of immigrant women. Actress Rosie told us that women who immigrate to America often risk their lives and the lives of their children to come with hopes that life will be better for them than at home. "Even if they are here illegally," Rosie said, "they should be treated with respect." She hopes that Fedoras for Fairness will help bring the promise of "comprehensive immigration reform that specially offers decent human rights protection for women and their families" closer to a reality. Keep reading to see the celebrity-packed video from the campaign.

Obama Pays Tribute to Fallen on Memorial Day

President Barack Obama laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns today at Arlington National Ceremony to mark Memorial Day.

President Barack Obama laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns today at Arlington National Ceremony to mark Memorial Day. As Americans welcomed the unofficial start to the Summer with barbecues and relaxation, Obama reminded the country what the holiday is all about. "Let us never forgot to always remember the sacrifice they make in our name," the president said in his speech, which also touched on military families. "Today most Americans are not directly touched by war; as a consequence, not all Americans may always fully grasp the depths of sacrifice, the profound costs that are made in our name," he said. "Our troops, our military families understand this, and they mention to me whether the country fully appreciates what is happening. Let us never forget that our nation is still at war."

Before heading back to Washington, yesterday the president toured the tornado devastation in Moore, OK, where he urged Americans to step up and help. Meanwhile, Michelle Obama kicked off the long weekend on a light-hearted note, visiting DC school kids with actress Kerry Washington. On Friday, the pair shared some dance moves and words of wisdom on their trip back to school.

Adult Summer Camp: From Innocent to Very Grown-Up

If you're feeling nostalgic for the new experiences and friends you met at Summer camp as a kid, pack your sleeping bag and sign up for an adult Summer camp.

If you're feeling nostalgic for the new experiences and friends you met at Summer camp as a kid, pack your sleeping bag and sign up for an adult Summer camp. The warmer days of the season don't feel quite as special when you're stuck inside shivering by the AC. This Summer in between trips to visit family or weekends away for weddings, use some PTO for Summer camp. There are plenty of options for adults, some of which really put the "adult" in adult Summer camp. Here are a few of my favorites.

Comedy Camp
Head to Chicago for The Second City's week-long immersion. You'll learn improv and comedy writing. Weekly prices range from $285 to $525, but you'll have to get your own housing.

Camp Camp
What's more camp than camp? From Aug. 18 to Aug. 25, you can eat s'mores around a campfire, do arts and crafts, and enjoy the outdoors at Camp Camp. As the name suggests, the Summer camp, located near a Maine village, caters to LGBT campers and includes original activities like the "Gay Ol' Campfire" and "Women's Skinny Dip."

Feminist Camp
Soap Box's feminist boot camp welcomes students, recent college grads, or anyone who is not a women's study professor. Feminist art and reproductive justice discussions replace activities like canoeing and archery. For $1,500 you get housing, breakfasts, and all your feminist bootcamp programming covered for a week.

Space Camp
You may remember kids who went to Space Camp back in the day. Don't worry. You didn't miss your chance. Space Camp assures it invites anyone ages 7 to 107! For a weekend, you'll get to train like an astronaut in simulators and build your own model rocket while you stay on site in Huntsville, AL.

Leather Camp
If you like a Summer camp that includes tantra, polyamory, or BSDM, head to Dark Odyssey (link NSFW), "a vacation you are sure not to forget." It's a camp Christian Grey would enjoy, but probably not for those whose only knowledge of BDSM comes from Fifty Shades of Grey.

What to Expect From Behind the Candelabra

The promise of Michael Douglas and Matt Damon playing lovers — not a burning fascination with Liberace's life — will probably entice most people to watch HBO's Behind the Candelabra. But if you do tune in, then you'll find yourself intrigued by the flamboyant performer's story. After a few minutes of seeing Douglas in a pompadour wig and stage makeup, you'll forget it's him playing Liberace. And Damon's evolution from innocent farm boy to drugged-up Liberace lover and stage prop is subtly stunning. If you plan to watch when it airs Sunday at 9 p.m., then here's what to expect from Steven Soderbergh's look behind Liberace's famous candelabra. Just keep reading.

5 Reasons to Love David Beckham — in GIFs!

After 20 years, David Beckham is hanging up that soccer jersey we loved to watch him take off.

After 20 years, David Beckham is hanging up that soccer jersey we loved to watch him take off. In his statement released earlier this month, David said, "If you had told me as a young boy I would have played for and won trophies with my boyhood club, Manchester United, proudly captained and played for my country over 100 times, and lined up for some of the biggest clubs in the world, I would have told you it was a fantasy." For his fans, David has been a dream both on and off the field. While he won't provide anymore end-of-game stripteases, that could free up his time to strip down for his underwear ads. To celebrate the official end of his career, which wrapped up today when PSG played their final game of the season, here are five reasons we love David Beckham, coming to you in GIF form.

Boy Scouts Lift Ban on Gay Members

It's a historic day for the Boy Scouts of America, which just decided to welcome openly gay boys to its ranks.

It's a historic day for the Boy Scouts of America, which just decided to welcome openly gay boys to its ranks. A group of over 1,400 leaders voted 60 percent to lift the ban, which was rooted in the pledge. It states that scouts must be "physically strong, mentally alert, and morally straight." The new policy, which goes into effect on Jan. 1, 2014, does not apply to troop leaders, who are still prohibited from being openly gay. Even so, the move toward inclusivity will be welcomed by the gay community and its allies. But it does not appear the organization was moved by a dedication to gay rights. A statement from the Boy Scouts read, "The Boy Scouts of America will not sacrifice its mission, or the youth served by the movement, by allowing the organization to be consumed by a single, divisive, and unresolved societal issue."
