It's been one year since we featured Symone as our Sugarbaby. At that time, she was the third addition to tiffulcher's family. This week she showed off her beautiful 1-year-old tot.

My best friends threw my husband and I a co-ed baby party! This was definitely not your typical baby party. It was very casual with an open bar. It made it fun for the men and the women. My husband's friends bought us a gun safe and filled it with diapers. It was fun for all and a great way to have a non-traditional baby shower.

It's raining baby showers around here! We've asked readers to share their showers and sprinkles with us in our Baby Showers Tips and Pics group. Here are some pictures of a baseball-themed shower for two big Philadelphia Phillies fans from LoveRoars.

My little sister is due with her first little one in a few months (a boy!) and requested a very large (65+ people) and very casual shower.  She's very down-to-earth and requested "real" food like Tomato Pie/Pizza and Soft Pretzels and no games/girly stuff for her special day.  She and the father are HUGE Philadelphia Phillies fans (the nursery theme is "Vintage Phillies" and is in cream/burgundy), so we thought a Phillies themed shower would provide the casual atmosphere that she wanted while still making it personal.

She knew the date of the shower, so the theme was the big surprise.  Here she is as she walked in (top left) and saw everything!  We had balloon centerpieces weighted in buckets of peanuts (right, and detail in lower left) and a "Souvenirs" table (which was actually a covered hot tub!) for the gifts (bottom center).

I photoshopped a recent photo of the parents-to-be into a photo of the Jumbotron and had it hanging on a gate as people walked in (top right).  I made logo cupcake toppers for the cupcakes and topped the cupcake stand with cut outs of the mom-to-be and dad-to-be playing baseball when they were little (middle).  I had "Team Photos" printed of each side's immediate family and hung them in the tents (bottom left).  On the right you see the favors — Cracker Jacks in (Homemade) Logo Koozies displayed in our red wagon with a different Jumbotron photo thanking everyone for coming to the party.

Two of my girlfriends and I hosted a Thai themed baby shower. It's actually a cute story. The mommy-to-be April actually got pregnant on a trip to Thailand, so she and her huz nicknamed their wee-to-be the "Pad Thai Noodle." 
We decided to just go with it and made the baby shower a Thai paradise. The funniest thing about it was though we knew April was calling her baby the Pad Thai Noodle, none of her family did... so when they got these invitations they were pretty puzzled! She got many calls inquiring about this Pad Thai Noodle baby and why it had this name. Mini oops! Still, the shower itself turned out fabulously!
This was an afternoon shower so we kept the food light. My friend Kasey is an incredible cook so she whipped up a Thai chicken salad that we put in Chinese (or in this case let's just say Thai!) take-out boxes and served with chopsticks. It was a hit!

Add party planner to the list of mom's responsibilities! Seefree shared her lil one's fifth birthday celebration with us in The Mommy Club group.

I recently threw my 5-year old daughter a Pancakes & Pajamas party, and it was so much fun! (And so easy to do at home and with a budget!) Using scrapbook paper, I created banners, cupcake toppers, water bottle wrappers and food signs. I made a big batch of pancakes the night before the party, then the girls used cookie cutters and lots of toppings to create their own edible masterpieces! Activities included threading necklaces with O-shaped cereal, and decorating paper sacks for pinata candy. The girls were sent home with little baskets of milk and cookies as parting gifts.
