Buzz Blabber: The Vampire Diaries Finale is a Shocker

We're still reeling from the season finale of The Vampire Diaries, and it seems like lots of people had strong opinions about what this means for the show.

We're still reeling from the season finale of The Vampire Diaries, and it seems like lots of people had strong opinions about what this means for the show. But there were plenty of other topics that were making waves as well. Fifty Shades of Grey is still making headlines, and everyone gave their two cents on who should take on the coveted role of Anastasia for the film. And while we're sad to see Cougar Town leave ABC, it's been picked up for another season on TBS.

The season finale of The Vampire Diaries has a wild twist

  • "I have to say that I like the idea of the reveal of Elena beginning her transition into a vampire, and I like the obvious twist has on which side she will lean in the perennial triangle. I don't think I am very keen on Elena actually *being* a vampire. It completely changes the whole dynamic of the show. I'll be really interested in seeing what they do with this going forward." — kaykayelle
  • "I think she will remember meeting Damon first. When Caroline turned she remembered everything that Damon had made her forget, so hopefully Elena will too. That is the only reason that I see for her telling him maybe if I had met you first." — dbaker6196
  • "I personally am not quite ready for Elena to be a vampire quite yet. It seems she really is though. Couldn't Stefan have saved both Matt & Elena at the same time from the car in the water? He is a vamp after all, doesn't he have super strength?" — mannylove

We already gave you the initial info on the new pilots coming this Fall to Fox and NBC, but now we bring you the list from The CW. And it's good news! Five new hour-long series have been picked up by the network for the Fall TV season.

  • The Carrie Diaries: This highly anticipated series stars AnnaSophia Robb as Carrie Bradshaw in 1984, during her pre-Sex and the City high school days.
  • First Cut: As if being a new doctor wasn't tough enough, a recent med school graduate (Mamie Gummer) realizes that old crushes and enemies will be working alongside her at her first job.
  • Cult: After his brother mysteriously disappears, investigative journalist Jeff Sefton (Matt Davis) uncovers the underworld of a popular TV show and all its crazy fans.
  • Arrow: After being shipwrecked on a deserted island, a billionaire makes his way back home and does his best to integrate himself back into normal life and right his past wrongs. At the same time, he takes on a new persona called Arrow (the show is based on the comic-book series) and fights crime.
  • Beauty & the Beast: Kristin Kreuk stars as homicide detective Catherine Chandler, a strong-willed cop who witnessed her mother's murder when she was just a teenager. She would have been murdered too, but with the help of an outside force she could never explain, she managed to escape. She soon learns that her savior is a man who turns into a beast at night.

The Office, "Free Family Portrait Studio": Best Lines of the Night

This week is the season finale of The Office, and Dwight puts on a family portrait studio for his co-workers, but it's really to prove that he's the father of Angela's baby.

This week is the season finale of The Office, and Dwight puts on a family portrait studio for his co-workers, but it's really to prove that he's the father of Angela's baby. Andy comes in looking absolutely crazy, but we learn that our old friend David Wallace has decided to buy Dunder-Mifflin from Sabre and give Andy his old job back. Darryl makes his affection for Val very clear to everyone — including her current boyfriend Brandon.

After Andy gets drunk at the office and begs for any work, Catherine lets him clean the carpet, but Andy really just wants to be there when David announces the changes. Before he shows up, Andy spills the beans and tells everyone he's gotten his old job back. On a more adventurous but completely unrelated note, Dwight and Angela make out, and Val makes a grand gesture to show that she's into Darryl. The season finale has a few great quotes, so keep reading for my favorite lines.

The Office, "Turf War": Best Lines of the Night

In this week's episode of The Office, Robert California is hung over and trying to put together the events of the evening — namely, that he closed the Syracuse branch of Dunder-Mifflin while blacked out.

In this week's episode of The Office, Robert California is hung over and trying to put together the events of the evening — namely, that he closed the Syracuse branch of Dunder-Mifflin while blacked out. And of course, Andy is still being awkward and hanging out around the office, hoping that it's all just been a bad dream. I was happy to see Chris Bauer (Andy Bellefleur!) from True Blood make an appearance as the Syracuse branch manager who is upset that Scranton is stealing his clients.

We learn that Nellie has been having a hard time and actually has a heart; when Pam warms up to her, she's elated. Andy scores a big deal under the alias Big Red Paper Company to get his job back, but when Robert doesn't bite, he heads over to our old friend David Wallace, who seems interested. While I was happy to see Andy get his groove back, to be honest, the high point of the episode is the cold open, where Jim sets up a thigh curl contest between Gabe and Dwight. There are a few funny lines that held things together, so to see my favorites, just keep reading.
