Feminine beauty was the name of the game at Altuzarra's Spring 2014 show, where models were meant to look very glamorous and very French. "It was a very surprising collection," lead makeup artist Tom Pecheux for MAC Cosmetics said. "It's very light, very fresh, very Summery, yet super Joseph [Altuzarra]." Pecheux focused on the lips, opting for a matte hue that was somewhere between orange and red. Instead of the typical black liner, he pressed a matte white shade into the lids and a bit under the eyes. No mascara, no liner — just simple matte hues.
That simplicity carried into the hair, and lead stylist Odile Gilbert for Kérastase swept models' hair into low ponytails. "We love to have something very simple. And believe me, simple is difficult," she quipped. A mussed-up, natural part gave way to a simple low ponytail, which was secured at the nape of the neck with a white elastic.
