Andrea Bowen's Makeover

Which Color Lipstick Do You Prefer on Andrea Bowen?

I almost didn't recognize Desperate Housewives star Andrea Bowen, who made a red carpet appearance last night in support of Eva Longoria's new film. Typically, Andrea's makeup is minimal, fresh, and young, but this is all out. Her skin looks flawless, however the bold lipstick paired with heavy eyes is just more apparent than I am used to. Which lip look do you like better on Ms. Bowen?

Bare Lips !!

I like seeing her with some color on her lips, but the second picture looks like she put 15 coats of mascara on, then smeared it all around her eyes. Way too thick and it looks horrible.

Maybe some movie stars with the right makeup combination can pull this off, but I would NEVER wear anything even close to RED!

Oh, and I have to agree: I love her haircolor in the 2nd picture.

The lipstick color itself isn't the issue here; it's the bold eye *and* lip combined. I think either lipcolor is fine, but tone down the eye make-up w/ the bright lips.

I liked both looks- they both had a unique and different style about them- she pulled off both nicely in my opinion.

bare lips just goes with her skin better IMO

I voted for the Bare Lips. The poppy color would have looked lovely if she went with a light/bare eyemakeup; the dark eyes is a huge don't when also doing a bold lip.

I like the poppy lips but she should have toned down the rest of her makeup.

I think the full face is just gorgeous. I wore a lot of makeup as a teenager, too, but it was always tasteful and well-done. I think this is perfectly age-appropriate for her... it's fresh and bright.

She looks great in both, but I think she needs to tone down the eyes a little if she's going to go with a bold lip color.

I think she needs a less dramatic eye because both of those lip colors are beautiful. She would aldo look much less washed out with brown hair or more warm lowlights.

I'm pretty sure she's only 17 years old, but she definitely looks ten years older in the second picture.

I think she pulled off both looks great. But I think the poppy lip could have been even better if she would have toned down the eyes because it's such a strong lip color.

The bare lips look SO much nicer - it makes everything look natural, rather than overdone. Always remember the one-feature-at-a-time rule!
