See AnnaSophia Robb's Gorgeous Braid From All Angles

We all know how huge of a trend Summer braids are, but AnnaSophia Robb showed us why last weekend. The actress took to the red carpet for the premiere of The Way, Way Back sporting an incredibly intricate but stunningly elegant crown of braids.

Instead of the typical take on this style that has braids crisscrossing over the crown of your head, AnnaSophia's take involved a french braid that circled around the nape of her neck. But the back of AnnaSophia's head is where things got interesting. See the rest of her style when you keep reading.

Instead of the typical one-strand circle down the nape of her neck, AnnaSophia's french braids were woven together to create an elegant chignon/braid/bun hybrid that was sophisticated and stare-inducing.

This is a great option for an elegant bridal hairstyle or special-occasion updo. Tresemmé celebrity stylist John D. created the complicated-looking braid in six steps, and you can achieve a similar effect at home:

  1. On washed, towel-dried hair, apply Tresemmé 24 Hour Body Blow Dry Lotion ($5) and rough-dry your hair.
  2. Once hair is dry, part it to the left and section hair into two parts: one section going from the part, over the crown, to the right ear (the "front" section); and one going from behind the other ear to the nape of the neck (the "back" section).
  3. French braid the front section back, working it over your ear and toward the center of the back of your head. Secure it with an elastic.
  4. Braid the back section the same way, so the two ends of your braids end up finishing one on top of another.
  5. To complete the style, tuck in the loose ends, rough up the braids, and secure them with pins against the nape of the neck.
  6. Finish with a mist of Tresemmé Tres Two Ultra Fine Mist Hairspray ($5).
