It's day four of my five-day detox, and while I have to admit that my stomach's still adjusting to consuming smaller portions, I'm not feeling nearly as hungry as I did on that awful second day. But, I do have a confession . . . I cheated. (And that's how I'm going to explain my oddly sinister expression in this photo.) You see, a tub of hummus was calling my name, and I lost all control on a midnight trip to the fridge. Minor blip in the radar aside, I do have some very positive things to report. While that blasphemous forehead acne seems to be getting worse, as mentioned before, it's been apparent that my chin acne has improved. I've also noticed that even though I've been drinking more water and herbal tea, the latter which I have been really enjoying since it's kind of like a sweet fix without the guilt, I'm not having to run to the restroom as often. TMI?
Well, since I'm sharing so much already, I've got another something else to disclose, and it's that a saltwater flush might help alleviate any other issues that might go along with changing your eating habits, my friends. And as my body has adapted to these new eating habits, I'm feeling lighter, my thoughts are clearer and more cohesive, I've actually started seeing things in a different light, and your kind words support have made it all the more worth it. It might sound cliché, but everything is really more illuminated.
