Beauty Mark It! A Pore Minimizer

I was reading some posts in Beauty Product Junkies, and it looks like user areidz needs help finding a pore-refining product that works, so I thought it would be fun for all of us to help her out. I've heard good things about Dr. Brant's Pores No More, but let me know your favorite pore-shrinking product, whether it be a serum, primer, moisturizer, or scrub — as long as it does the trick!

Share your choices by bookmarking items from around the web and tag them with the phrase pore minimizer. I'll feature your favorites here next Tuesday.

i use colinique pore minimasing clay mask. it does work, they shrink (or look smaller) in half! it doesn't last long, but you can do it in a few days again.

my cousin works for a derm. so her dr. gives me free samples of micro retin-a by the box! It's great. I've never had acne, just some slightly larger pores on my nose and such, but this speeds up cell turnover so I have small pores, fresh lookings skin, and I've heard it's good for wrinkles. I'm too young for wrinkles but hopefully the retin-a paired w/my daily dose of spf will prevent them! But as a note, I have semi-sensitive skin so I can only use it once or twice a week...

I use this product and I love it! Of course, it doesn't actually shrink pores - just makes the appear invisible. I use it after my moisturizer and before applying bare minerals foundation. When the summer heats things up and humidity rises (I'm in the South!), I will probably just use moisturizer (with sunscreen) and this product!

I bought Pores No More in the fall, and i do like that it goes on smoothly and provides a great base over which to apply makeup. It has a light, spicy scent that I also like - reminds me of cinnamon. What i DON'T like about it is that it doesn't contain sunscreen. I hate having a lot of goop on my face and I refuse to put on sunscreen/moisturizer, then Pores No More, then makeup - so I have ended up not wearing Pores No More during the day. I do love it for my evening face though! It certainly minimizes the look of pores (and mine are so sadly HUGE!), especially after you apply makeup over the top.

I have really sensitive skin and tried this at Sephora and my face turned a deep pinky purple color. It really burned and was just generally unpleasant. So if you have sensitive skin I'd suggest testing it on a small patch first to make sure you don't have a reaction like I did!

This is wonderful, I have tried the a lot of his products. You really need to use his pore minimizing kit. The part that works the best in my opinion is the microdermabrasion. By far my favorite Dr. Brandt product! Sloughing away a layer of skin does make the pores appear smaller. The pores no more does make the face feel "tighter". It's worth a try!

Yeah, I've heard that all a "pore minimizer" can do is clear the pores out and make them look smaller - not actually shrink them, because they're not of a variable size.

nothing can actually physically shrink pores, they have no muscular attachments. they can be widened by sebum deposits over time that clog and push the pores open, but they don't actively open and close like a mouth or something.
