Beauty Mark It Reminder! Can't Live Without

Don't forget: This week, we're bookmarking the beauty products you absolutely couldn't live without.

My pick is mascara, and since this is just a hypothetical question, I'd choose TheBalm's Two Timer as its dual brushes offer two rather distinct looks. What's yours?

I finally got this mascara thinking that it would last me twice as long so I went for it. The first day I tried it on I absolutely loved it! it made my lashes curl really nice. The twisted brush makes a great effect on my lashes!

I am surprised to see your inclusion of Strawberrynet.com, which generally offers prices that are between 10% to 30% higher than US retail on items that are readily available in major department stores and online. For example, Clinique's large size Clarifying Lotion (13.5 oz) is $19.00, but $29.00 at Strawberry Net. Estee Lauder Idealist (1 oz size) is $46.50 nationwide, but $56.50 at Strawberrynet. Just something to keep in mind while playing online.

Fun topic for a dreary Monday. However, I was surprised to see your inclusion of Strawberry Net, which offers prices that are between 10% to 30% HIGHER than US retail on many items that are EASILY AVAILABLE in major department stores and online. EXAMPLES: Two examples of commonly used products-Clinique Clarifying Lotion and Estee Lauder Idealist: Clinique's large size Clarifying Lotion (13.5 oz) is $19.00 nationwide http://www.clinique.com/templates/products/3step/3step_shop.tmpl but $29.00 at Strawberry Net. http://us.strawberrynet.com/productDetail.aspx?ProdId=13192&goChar=C. Estee Lauder Idealist (1 oz size) is $46.50 nationwide http://www.esteelauder.com/templates/products/sp_nonshaded.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY5860&PRODUCT_ID=PROD11755 but $56.50 at Strawberry Net. http://us.strawberrynet.com/productDetail.aspx?ProdId=71760. IMPORTANT INFO: Prices of better cosmetics (Lancome, Clinique, MAC, etc.) are set by the company and are uniform nationwide. Prices are neither discounted or inflated by the retailer. If you plan to buy from an unauthorized retailer such as Strawberry Net, be sure and check first with an authorized site for current prices and packaging. You don't want to pay $20.00 extra for an expired skincare product in packaging that was discontinued two years ago, especially if there is fresh jar in current packaging for less money available at the mall. I'm not an anti-discounter shill, per se. There are great deals to be had online if one is careful and has done a bit of research. In fact, Strawberry Net is the only site I've come across that has such inflated prices. The wanna-be consumer advocate in me just doesn't want Bella's lovely readers to get hosed. © 2008 Pywacket
