Beauty Mark It Results: The Best Eye Makeup Remover

After running out of my favorite eye makeup remover, I turned to you for help choosing a new one. Boy, did you all deliver! A lot of you praise oil-based cleansers for their effectiveness, like waterbaby, who uses Johnson's Baby Oil in Lavender, saying that "the lavender is great before bedtime!" If you have sensitive skin, magalaya recommends Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Milk, which is also ideal for the occasional late night out, since "this remover can be tissued off your face if you're too tired to rinse."

Thank you so much for all your great suggestions. Call me a product geek, but I'm actually excited to go home and take off my eye makeup tonight!

I was running low on my Clinique eye makeup remover so I decided to research some other alternatives. Almay's oil free eye makeup remover pads seemed to get rave reviews and claims to be the #1 eye makeup remover so I decided to try it out. I think it works fine but I wouldn't say it's the best. The pads are a bit small and sometimes I have to use 2 pads each time I remove my eye makeup. In the end I would stick to my Clinique remover because it seemed more effective.

I love baby oil. It takes everything off and love the lavender smell. I also use baby wipes. Huggies work best.

Klorane is really good. It was a best-seller at the makeup counter I worked at years ago. Its good for senitive skin.

I used to use baby oil to remove eye makeup and whlie it did wonders, my esthetician was appalled. She said the ingredients in baby oil is the same as found in gasoline and will only serve to clog my pores.

Good choices......I paid big dollars in the past for removers until an artist recommended the Nivea Visage one in the blue tube. I just love it! I have the most sensitive eyes on the planet and this never irritates them. It also works great!!

What the heck, why in the WORLD is Sephora's makeup remover on here? That stuff is horrible! It does not take all the makeup off, so you're left with raccoon eyes, and heaven forbid you try to scrub the stuff off, so you've got red, raccoon eyes. Great look. I would recommend Johnson's baby oil because it's cheap and works wonders on any makeup, and Neutrogena's oil-free makeup remover. Both work well.

Unfortunately, the Kiehl's oil-based cleanser is specifically "not intended for the removal of eye makeup." I wish it was- my bottle would be used up a lot faster!

I also use baby oil. It's like $2 for a huge bottle that lasts forever. I just use it before bed, so it doesn't matter that it's kind of greasy. I just figure it's extra moisturizing.

I've been using the Bliss Lid + Lash Wash for a while and it works really good...doesn't sting or tug either.

I love Bi-Facil and find Sonia Kashuk's version to be a pretty decent substitute.

I LOVE the Body Shop camomile remover. The camomile is so gentle, and the formula is so creamy that it doesn't tug or pull on your skin at all. Although, I do prefer the texture of the one in the tube to the one in the bottle listed here. I find it much thicker and richer. And I think the one in the tube is the only one that takes of waterproof makeup, but perhaps I'm wrong.

My 2 faves are up there! Clinique Take The Day Off is the best. And I'm currently loving Neutrogena Oil Free Remover. That Nivea one is also amazing.
