Beyonce Short Hair 2013

You Have to See Beyoncé's Short Hair to Believe It

Wait a minute . . . is that Beyoncé with short hair? Beyoncé has built an empire around her long, voluminous locks with hair-flipping moves we could never pull off. But recently she posted a shot of herself sporting a pixie on her Instagram. It's actually the perfect time for a style change, considering she just wrapped up the US leg of her Mrs. Carter World Tour in Brooklyn on Monday. We haven't seen her hair this short since she played Etta James in Cadillac Records. The songstress is extension-free and we love it, but what do you think of Beyoncé's new hairstyle?

I think the new short hair is a nice change from the usual extralong extensions she wears. However, her iconic hair flip is part of her performance. So, I don't know how long this pixie will last.

Not my favorite, personally... she looks a bit boyish to me (gasp! Not Beyonce!) Not saying every girl with a pixie looks boyish, I just don't think this suits her features as well as her old cut. Well, it's her hair, she can do what she wants with it!

I would imagine that like any other woman who is constantly processing and styling her hair, she just needs to give her hair and scalp a break now and then. All the chemicals, hair products, hair pieces, extensions, styling tools, etc. that are used while on tour are probably particularly hard on her hair and scalp. What better solution than to cut off the damage and start fresh? It's just hair. It will grow.
